Does anyone know what is happening with Woy Woy for 2012 given the merger situation last year? Their website link on the BDAFL site is there but contains no info.

There has been very little coming out of Morisset since the AGM. No Annual report on the website, no information on the new GM, nothing regarding 2012. All very worrying.

Northern swan surely someone in the know should be letting us know what is going on (anyone?) even on here it is quieter than usual, no one talking up there chances (ins/outs) etc.

Who is the new GM? the make up of the comp? are Woy in? as they are not in Sydney comp(as I thought they would last year!)

Lots of clubs struggling with 18's numbers apparently, I'd love to know who is in 1's,2's and 18's!!

Hey befooty, are u on the board or know someone? Just asking cause there not much getting leaked these days!!

Being one of the main posters on here, and talking to ppl from around the area, very little is confirmed!

Do u know the new GM? and I have posted re Maitland in 2's and 18's numerous times and been shot down!! depite having reliable sources!!

Is this 100% confirmed and if so (swans12 take that lol)

If you do know can u give us a confirmed and completed list of clubs/grades for 2012 ie Cardiff in 1's,2's and 18's etc

Round will commence on 31/03/2012 - top 6 teams in 1s at end of 2012 season will form premier div in 2013. All clubs voted for divisionalisation to commence in the 2013 season.
Woy Woy voted to consolidate their juniors only due to the high number of players playing other codes on Saturdays.

I think a big reason people don't post on here is because they tend to get shouted down by imbeciles who offer little. It is a great look
for the league and footy community. Especially when you consider the number of people who read this forum from other areas of Australia. I also believe a number of clubs ban their players and I think that would be a reason not much is on this forum.

Having said that not alot is emanating from clubs themselves with a number of websites sadly lacking recent news on anything. It is a shame as I would think a website up to date would be a great selling point for a club looking for prospective players and sponsors.

How are clubs looking? Any word on coaches on the clubs left to appoint

One thing that astounds me after talking to a number of people is the amount of animosity towards other clubs and the league. Having come from a football state yes you have your rivalries on the field but the amount of hatred towards clubs off field coming from a few players and supporters is unbelievable. I know we all want our side to win but if clubs have so much hatred of other clubs how can anyone expect it to work. For the league to progress surely all clubs need to get along and work together more!

To stop the Maitland boys getting walloped every week, the BDAFL should put a special by law in saying that teams can only play 5 from the previous rounds first grade against Maitland. Given they are a new team, I can't see them being particularly strong, but good on Maitland for getting off the ground!

Fair enough mate, I obviously notice that there are some 'less than constructive' posts on here sometimes, but if we ignore them they seem to not hang around too much (do we have a moderator for here to clean out the crap?).

As for the clubs not getting on, I agree that on-field is good and maybe even a little off-field with your neighbors ie Wyg and KV, but at the end of the day they should be working together to gain funding,promote the sport etc, (ah in a perfect world) as I have not played in other comps I dont have a comparison as to how other clubs relate to each other tho

True Northern, the Woy boys may go to Sydney as well (it will be interesting to see who lines up for Gossy in the Syd comp) as a further question where are the 18's players playing ie in the senior team in Syd,playing for Terr? or another club or not playing anymore!!

In regards to Maitland, is this an option? as obviously it would be better for the Saints and the comp if they arent pummelled into oblivion!!

Cardiff/City etc would still win by a margin in their 1st year but if 1's players arent allowed at least they would compete with Nellie,Singo,Mac Wyg and the like!!

Eight different clubs win eight different divisions....just like the seven that won the seven available last year.

Taken from the Sydney website as a highlight of the comp!! Would be good if we could get to that stage(even if only 3 open grades) and maybe an 18's Newcastle and an 18's Coast winner!!

One day someone is going to have to bite the bullet.

* Central Coast clubs are going to find it difficult to compete with the likes of Newcastle City and Cardiff (and I dont care why). There needs to be a handicap system and dont argue because you know I am right. Deitzy was right in saying that a lot of blokes in other clubs will find something else to do with their Saturday Afternoons if they cant see the chance of success.
* Lake Macq & Co. are going to battle and SOMEONE needs to introduce a strategy which can see the opportunity for success being spread equally around the league.
* Reverting to the NAFL & CCAFL is for losers and simply will compound the problem rather than fix it.
* The Board and GM should lead, spelt L-E-A-D.
* And finally, winning is all about being smart and getting the right people into place. I did say Central Coast clubs, generally, can't compete. Well they can if they are smart about it and it takes dedication and work, time and effort. You need officials and coaches to put aside the lawns and the missus while you direct your efforts to succeeding. Nothing succeeds like success. It has to become an intrinsic quality in your club.

hey guys. long time reader of the forum, first time poster (took me a while to get around to signing up lol).

Not a lot of info out there from clubs. Must be holding there cards close to there chests with regards to new signings etc. Anyone know much on the three WAFL guys (peel Thunder) who are pending clearences with City? I think that there are a few grades from there (colts up to the firsts) so no guarantee that they were first graders but certainly would be from good stock over there. Scary to think City could get stronger...

Has anyone heard any confirmation on coachings? Is Knight back at City? Are Warners Bay close to finding anyone?

Typically quiet from Cardiff. Will Lake Mac with there Sydney experienced coach be able to improve? Singo by all accounts are doing some good recruiting, but nothing hitting the clearence board yet?
