Yeah I hear that Braedon gave this Clarke fellow a real scare and kept him to a mere 50 possessions, 40 of those were when Braedon was being interchanged by the Coaching staff. No fault of his when he is being rotated by his Coach.

Clarke even had to lower himself to have Braedon targeted like Dermott Brereton was by Budda Hocking in a grand final a few years ago. A cheap shot by Cardiff having a bloke of his age and ability getting one of his so called mates try and take a kid out a centre bounce off the ball. Takes a brave man to do that.

You need to stop sookin mate, it's not my fault that braedon jones is an ordinary footballer.
And on another note I think it was a disgrace that Jackson White only got picked in the under 18s rep side because players pulled out of the game. He's been in the Cardiff run on team every game this year and is the only cardiff under 18 to be asked not to worry about playing under 18s and just concentrate on first grade. Surely this warrants a spot in the 18s rep side??

Re: !!!news Flash!!!

Ben Cousins to WarnersBay in a Return to Football and Drugs

Fallen West Coast Star Ben Cousins is set to return to football this year with the Warners Bay Bulldogs. After receiving a one year ban from the AFL for what AFL chief executive Andrew Demetriou described as being found guilty of conduct unbecoming and likely to prejudice the interest of the AFL and [of] bringing the game into disrepute” it has been announced Cousins as rejected the more lucrative offers on the table from Port Melbourne in the VFL and East Femantle in the WAFL to join the Dogs.

At a packed news conference at Seamen Ave Counsins was by the Bulldogs President Steve May, senior coach Russel Macey. “This is a great coup for the Warners Bay Footy club and the league in general” Macey said. “I honestly didn’t think he would join us” Macey continued “I orignially just joined the facebook goup ‘I think Ben Cousins would fit in at my club’ as a bit of a laugh cause of the rampart drug use and partying displayed by most of the boys. Apparently our effort at the League Presintation last year put us into Ben’s calculations. Imagine how much blatant arrogance we can put on show this year!”

Cousins spoke breifly stating “I never really considered the Port Melbourne option because their was too many good behaviour clauses in it. I also originally considered the UNSW/Eastern Bulldogs in the Sydney AFL because I’ve got few mates who hustle, umm I mean live near by in Kings Cross. But after consltulting the Warners Bay board I was assured that my antics would probably go unnoticed and was actually encouraged because the majority of the list are the same way.”

Will their be room for a druggo like ben cousins at the club considering warners bay already recruited dean crotty last year??

It doesn't really matter if the game was close for 3 quarters if yous went on to lose by 10 goals. Just goes to show how much warners bay struggle with their fitness when they can't run out games. I sure hope you's didn't pay this gun fitness coach yous feel the need to brag about.

#1 Warners Bay do not struggle with fitness
#2 We do not "brag" about having a personal trainer
#3 no matter how fit or unfit a team is ...it is impossible to man up on opposition that has 2 extra men on the field.

Stop talking smack mate and wake up to yourself.

yea sorry i forgot about them fitness freaks at warners bay like blake bronkhurst, ben hunter, james newburn, nathan brennan etc how are the other teams in the comp meant to compete against elite athletes like that??

Does anyone know the reason B Wold didnt play in the rep side, i heard a rumour he is refusing to play under Dugan... is this true ???
Does anyone know more on the subject.
Maybe Brendan realised that he's the most overrated player in the league and doesn't deserve a spot?? I think there would've been a lot of happy blokes in the team when they found out that this selfish player wasn't playing...

Firstly, let me say that Jackson's game is perfect for senior football in this league and he will be a regular for Cardiff, until he chooses to give it away.

As for your comments about Braedon Jones, If he was wearing a Cardiff jumper I am sure your tune would be a little different.

Unless you are a recruiter, hiding on this site which I very much doubt, the facts are mate.
1. He has an AFL scholarship and therefore couldn't give a rats ass what clowns like you think.
2. He obviously has more ticker and probably more ability in his big toe than someone who hides behind a computer and canes 16 year old kids.
and 3. He is probably a hell of alot closer to the AFL than you will ever be.

There the FACTS.

Without getting into a debate as to whether Jackson's ability warranted selection, I personally agree by the way, some would say it was selection suicide to fail to attend the final training selection where the team was to be announced. Some would say it doesn't send the right message.

Once again another fact.

If you get off caning young kids, then okay, but I say the more they play at evey club the better.

And just for the Cardiff posters, Dawes, Wivell, Brassington, Risby all good kids just to name a few and its great to see them having a run.

As for the Saturday night game, I ventured in to No 1 to watch the match.
Very hard fought game, with City's ability to get players to work hard behind the ball getting them home.
The send offs didn't help the Bay, but I felt that was simply the ballgame and the Blues had already taken the ascendency at that point.

Finally some sense. Nice work Swan12. I also was at No. 1 and think that B. Jones is one of, if not the smartest and most level headed kid I have seen over the years, good luck to him, Joel21 you need to give the boy some respect, his attitude will take him far even if his footy doesn't.

And as for the Bay/City I felt that the dogs were only in it til 1/2 time, not like Barto says 3/4. Unfortunately you cant win footy playing 2 quarters!! City's run and overall class got them the points, even though their spearheads were reasonably quiet.

Yeh i heard the same that Warners only played 2 quarters and it shows by the scorecard to Barto.

Braedon Jones has alot more footy to play and if he is showing that much potential now, he will only get better and better.

I was there and I think WB were still in with a definite chance in the 3rd quarter...it wasn't a write-off. However, a loss of two players and a decline in discipline in the 4th were the downfall and City scored a number of goals in quick succession.

Good too see people talking about footy again.

Great to see a close games on the weekend after a few weeks of one-sided affairs.

Round 9 looks like there should be some great games again.

Here’s my thoughts:

Gosford V Wyong
Both coming off good wins on the weekend, Gosford definitely have the stronger side; however a Wyong side full of confidence could cause an upset. The start will be very important, if Gosford can dominate early Wyong will more than likely lie down, however if Wyong can match it with the Tigers for the fist ¼ and a bit, they could get their tails up and really make it a tight contest. My tip: Gosford building and will win by 10 goals.

Newcastle V Killarney Vale
City are coming off a great win over Warners Bay and will be full of confidence, as will Killarney Vale after a few weeks of easy wins over the weaker teams. A lot will depend on what Killarney Vale teams decides to turn up on the day, if the Bombers take the mindset they took into the Grand Final last year we should have a good game on our hands, however, if not, City will have too much class and firepower and should do it easy. My tip: City, playing at home will bring their ‘A’ game and win by 8 goals.

Warners Bay V Cardiff
Cardiff have had the luxury of the bye to rest up after the rep match and get freshened up for this match. Should be a tough, spiteful match as has traditionally been the case between these two. Cardiff should have too much across the park, while Warners, despite being hungrier than ever after their loss to City, might just lack the killer punch to put a side like Cardiff away. My Tip: Cardiff by 5 goals.

Lake Macquarie V Terrigal
Terrigal, being the very proud club they are, wound be happy after a loss to their arch rivals Gosford last week and will be super keen to get back o track to sneak into the top 4. Lake Macquarie have shown glimpses of brilliance and as long as Hodge is playing are always capable of at least being in the contest. Similar to the Gosford V Wyong match in that the Crows could very well hang around all day and push Terrigal if they don’t get on top early. My Tip: Terrigal by 9 goals.

Nelson Bay get a well deserved break after coping 8 weeks of hell!

hmm i know for a fact that u are wrong on this. i believe Dawes has been asked to give away the 18's also. Hence the lad not playing in the 18's on the weekend.

here's my thoughts for the wknd.

Terrigal v Lake Mac.
If lake mac apply the same pressure we did on terrigal, they will win. If that happens lake mac can win by 5 goals. Terrigals skills were down and they didnt run. Terrigal have a young enthusiastic list nd a few out though, if they get that few back they can win by 4 to 8 goals, if they have the same side in, it will go down to the wire.

Cardiff v Warners Bay.
The hawkies have obviously only had 1 hard game this year, that being against city. The Hawks can make the Warners run into the finals really shaky with a big win and prehaps 3rd and 4th spot being more up for grabs than ppl think. Maybe with 2 coast sides taking spots into the final. Big game for Warners They need to put in an hard effort and keep the damage to minimum to get momentum up. Cardiff are always out to inflict damage after the Bye how mch can they inflict. I think it will be another massive win for the hawks.

City v Killarney Vale.
City have been put to the test a bit more than usual, Warners & Tigers playing a couple good quarters against them and then City running home, probably the key factors being experience and attitude. The Bombers had a big win against the cellar dwellers by alot. City for me their young kids have stepped up and their experience and club attitude will see them win by more than 10 goals. I dont think Killarney Vale have much quality. I also think City will get out of the blokes very quickly. Kemp amd Knight will kick bout 15 between them.

Gosford v Wyong.
Wyong had a good win, a concern would be that Hodge kicked 10. Gosford know that wyong are not to be underestimated but we will be sticking to what we did against Terrigal and apply that same attitude this wknd we are hungry we hate wyong and we will want to win at our hunting ground. Goodluck to all with Parking.

A good weekend of footy ahead i believe, and a chance for a couple of teams to gain more momentum.

Hey to all the sports fans. Well another win to Gosford in both grades leaves them sitting in 5th spot on both ladders, 1 game out of the 4 in Reserve Grade and 2 games out in 1st Grade. Seems like those 4 players that some of you bagged out on here a week or 2 ago are in a team that are in the mix for the last spot in the top 4. The top 2 definately and maybe the top 3 are or should be decided by now, but the 4th spot is still open and come finals time, who knows any team can win on the day.

So if i use the thought processes of a few of the so called footy experts in here and i say a few. That does not mean everyone as some of you know ur footy, they should now be good players not overrated uneducated footballers.

HMMM hate that when you engage you mouth before the brain and it comes back to bit you firmly on the rear end.

Somehow force I think you should read the last line of your post!. WHy you trying to stir it up again???? Lets ignore it and move on

Totally agree with you swan. We understand "Usingtheforce" that your thoughts are admirable for the team you support, but I think we are now past that issue and look forward to more interesting banter or issues that may arrive in our league. Granted the players you talk about indeed are quality from what I have seen, and of all reports are a big reason for Gosford's form last week against Terrigal. But for everyone's sake, lets look and touch on other things.

City v Killarney Vale - City by 30 points
Cardiff v Warners Bay - Cardiff by 40 points if Warners Bay are off the pace.
Gosford v Wyong - Gosford by 25 points
Terrigal v Lake Macq - Terrigal by 15 points.

Some could go either way or be alot closer depending on whether
1. which teams turn up for Killarney Vale and Lake Macquarie
2. How hungry Gosford are this week.
3. How the Bulldogs come up after a bruising affair last week.

Must agree with a few reports on the Warners Bay/City game. Was a great game of footy, was played at a frenetic pace, was extremely physical and the game could have gone either way up until 3 quarter time. The turning point was probably Marty Dinneens goal after the 3 quarter time siren which shifted the momentum Citys way.
Usingtheforce, from what I have been told off plenty of people Gosford had their best performance for over a year on Saturday. The challenge now for them is to back it up this weekend against Wyong Lakes.
Havent heard much about the other games, apart from Killarney played a few kids against Nelson Bay and Hodge kicked 10 in a losing side which is a fair effort.
The other interesting thing in the league at the moment is the state of the BDAFL board. 3 resignations this year (Arnold, Kingwill and Druwitt). Going to be interesting to see who will take on these positions now.

Also the resignation of the BDAFL General Manager will stir things up a bit ... no matter what you may think of Mr. Ledgwige he got the work done and kept the whole league afloat with little assistance.

To true Deizty. The biggest thing that we saw at the weekend was the vision of the players. The guys were looking up instead of blazing away hence kicking to the better option. Funniest thing that game from the game was the sledge put on Jayson Van Dam by Dave Manuelle. Dave has only played 4 games of AFL to my knowledge having come to us this year from his chosen sport of Baseball. After he towelled up Van Dam in the 1st half, he went up to him after the break and said hey your a rep player arent you well i have only play 4 games of AFL so whats going on. What a classic
