So I'm guessing you and your girlfriends don't have anything else to chit-chat about now that the Sex and the City movie has finished so you come on here and enlighten us all with your opinions, hey darl?

Well may I suggest you leave the footy talk up to the men.

I hear they've opened up a new forum at www.bignetball.com.au

So maybe when you've finished cleaning the house and cooking dinner you can go and be all condescending and snooty to the girls on that message board...

Just a thought, Toots.

Oh honey, it's sad that you feel so threatened by me.

Hey Pete. Biiiiiiiiingo. Some of us like putting our views on here but unfortunately some other people who dont like our views expect us to fall in line with theirs. Well its not communism so I will put my views forward and spark debate.

So my thoughts are Warners Bay cant beat Cardiff this weekend and Cardiff will stick it up the doubters on this forum and as for my second view. The BDAFL will not advertise the GF which will be a great day and promote the game within the region because there are some great players in this league.

Away for a week and again missed a lot of dribble...So now the Cardiff Club is on the tribunal too??? I did a bit of info searching and found that the tribunal consists of an Ex City player who was a foundation board member of the BDAFL, an ex Wallsend Swans timekeeper and an ex Rugby Player
But of course the Warners Bay propaganda crew will have us believe otherwise
Perhaps the Warners Bay crew should have a look a little closer to home...their captain is the only bloke I know of ever in footy to be suspended and then allowed to play while he serves his ban (& then get reported again  )

But then again, if he was a Cardiff player he probably wouldn't have got reported at all right??? [/Sarcasm]

On the field, I think the Hawks will be smarting from their loss on the weekend, and with their premature exit from last years finals still ringing in their ears, they will be fired up for a big performance on Saturday. I guess the big talking points will be the fitness of Clarke and Ryan, but they should come home with the bikkies to set up a rematch with City.

i dont know where you get your facts from but warners bay's captain josh molan has not been reported this year. the player in question, jim newburn, was suspended from coaching, not playing footy.

Golly gosh, Crowey, you'd think we'd sent you to the gulag (to run with the Communism theme, even though I think you're a bit confused about political ideologies) rather than disagree with you!

I am more than happy to listen to the views of others. I just felt your process of deduction regarding the Warners Bay/City/Cardiff finals series was illogical. It's good to see you agree with Bingo Pete's misogynistic crap though. It really amps up your credibility.

Somebody give this broad an award for the most big words in one post.

The girls in the canteen must struggle to understand you using that sort of language.

NEWS JUST IN!!!!

UTF has been Declared unfit by the Umpires Association after failing to complete his 4 kms in a suitable time. UTF actually Failed to complete it at all and was last seen across the road from Adcock Park. An Icon from Macdonalds had this to say, "he sat on my lap and told me all his problems", but the only thing the redheaded clown could reply with was," have you seen our salad menu ".

My thoughts on your comment FMF could go either way.

Outrage at NSW Police Decision to use Sniffer Dogs at BDAFL Preliminary Final

There is outrage in the BDAFL community today as NSW Police have announced sniffer dogs will target Saturday’s preliminary final between Cardiff and Warners Bay. NSW Police Commissioner, Andrew Scipione has defended the tactic last night saying “We have to display a duty of care towards the community on matters like this. For instance, a few Cardiff players almost choked to death last week. We are not suggesting that it is in anyway connected to drugs, it’s just suspicious that it continues to happen during finals. We need to cover all bases.”

Warners Bay officials and civil libertarian groups are also outraged at the NSW Police decision. Previous meetings between the two teams have been marred by player suspensions and injuries to the Bulldogs which have robbed the games of a true contest. “If the Black Diamond is serious about the integrity of the competition, then they will step into to stop this,” a Warners Bay official said, “I am fearful that we will be low on numbers as guys will simply not show up this weekend for fear of prosecution. It’s not a bloody rock concert for God’s sake! This is a football match!”

The news comes only days after an independent commission into the 2007 Elliot Davey Medal count found that the actions of the Warners Bay players were not influenced by “Mad Monday” celebrations. The commission concluded that the players were simply following normal club behaviour and standards.

Hey Rizzbang, what was he suspended for regarding the coaching. If it was misconduct or bringing the game into disrepute or something like that i think that carries the charge in playing as well?

Any report while coaching is supposed to stop someone who performs dual roles from playing, though interestingly enough if a player/coach gets reported while playing he can still coach.

But we all know its only Cardiff who get the rub of the green in this league

im not 100% but pretty sure it was for abusing an umpire. i think he asked when he was going to start following the rules but it was phrased slightly different. Im unsure what the rules are regarding his suspension but im sure it wouldnt matter because the tribunal would make their own anyway

I heard a whisper that the rules were 'modified' so it only affected his coaching role. But the whisper just became louder when he received a 1 match suspension last night for a different incident as a player.
I guess he'll have to get used to the seat in the stand with his name on it!

Where is this so called "propaganda crew" You speak of?

The only one I know of are those employed to write the BDAFL website :thumbsu:

The right up they recieved after losing was more positive (did well despite injuries)than City's (only won cuase the Hawks didn't kick straight)

And it too seems like they will have one eye towards next weekend this Saturday

But footy is played at one time and at one place. Not in advance! ;)

Just hope those chickens haven't been counted yet, or else next weekend they'll have a slightly lower egg yield......

....on the Hawks face :D

Hello!

It looks like you need to use a spelling and grammar checker.

Would you like to know how?

Anyone see the updated news that the Riot Squad will also be at the game to prevent violence between Cardiff and Warners Bay but thats only because apparently one of their own is in that squad. Probably a bog softie anyway who doesnt know how to play hard at the ball.

Nope didnt see any news update

leave the comedy to newsreel mate u have got nothing

What's everyone's thoughts on the presso winners?
I think it was good to see a few of the 'weaker clubs" represented/winning awards, and the B and F is hard for the stronger teams as they take votes off each other. Congrats to all the winners!!!:D

Well done to Bottles last night. Very deserving winner!!

And congrats to the other dudes who won the ressies and 18's.

Warners Bay boys seem to be a bit quiet on the forum today.

Must be still partying from the night before :D

HAVE IT!!!:thumbsu:

Yer it was good to see Rawnsley win last night. Goes about his footy in a great way...Never has much to say and just lets his footy do the talking. Congratulations mate. Warners Bay boys were tucked up in bed pretty early last night mate. As for not bombarding the footy forum at 1:23pm on a Thursday I'd imagine that they'd be at work champ. One thing I want to know is why wasn't UTF nominated for club umpire of the year? I would have thought he would start raging favourite?

Good to see you've proved yourself as an academic love. That condesending tone is a sure fire way to land yourself a husband.....

...or maybe not. Maybe you should just stick at a profesion you'd probably be good at: a home maker or similar.

And maybe try not to bring your condesending / borderline arrogant tone into the home or you'll have no friends. No one likes a disrespectfull host!

And its nice to see you can hold grudges towards WhereTheCrowFlies for simply replying to one of my posts. That's like chastising Joseph Goebbels because of the company he kept.
