He will surely miss all the praccy games ensuring he is right by Round 1-3..2-3 weeks is nothing. Not ideal but it’s nothing
Won’t miss even a praccy match

Yesterdays track watcher did actually report Walsh missed the handball drills and walked off with a trainerThis is record speed communication from the club.
Normally we'd be having track watchers report the player missing for a good month before we heard they were out for another 2 weeks which actually meant 12
Another question to consider:Questions we might dare ask:
1: is it a back-related hamstring?
2: is a bulky physique likely to increase or decrease the possibility of hamstring injuries?
A month gets him back for practice matches. He will surely miss all the praccy games ensuring he is right by Round 1-3..
Another question to consider:
Would we prefer Walsh to injure his back or his hamstrings?
That might be the calculation that the high performance team are making here.
1 string this side of Christmas, normally we'd have half our list in the rehab group by now. Lets have some faith.
Yeah for your standard footballer maybe... Walsh and injuries is frightening, they will be ultra conservative on him...A month gets him back for practice matches.
Official practice match for us is 28th of Feb: 6 weeks away
Round 1: 13th March, 2 months away.
If he’s not right to go before round 1 then somethings gone badly wrong
Dunno how long I've been saying it...
There's a curse at PP. We need a reverse the curse ceremony

They just wouldn't have said anything if it was his back is my guess. Realistically there was a bucket load of players injured last pre season and we didn't hear about half of them. Remember Heath Buck would talk about Martin and Marchbank etc missing all the time and nobody had a clue what was going on.Question to ask is is it even a hamstring? They would hide a back strain injury! Club cant be trusted when in membership drive.

Personally rather happy that the club has told us about his string the day after it occurred. Transparency would be a welcome change no matter how disappointing.
That's a little dramatic. Hammys are normally 3 weeks-1 month. Really bad ones are 6 weeks. Keeping him on ice until round 3 would mean something has gone horribly wrong with Walshy, as was said by someone else.He will surely miss all the praccy games ensuring he is right by Round 1-3..
We shall see... Hopefully they are honest..That's a little dramatic. Hammys are normally 3 weeks-1 month. Really bad ones are 6 weeks. Keeping him on ice until round 3 would mean something has gone horribly wrong with Walshy, as was said by someone else.
Still has time to build back up before the start of the season
4 weeks is a solid lay off for a hammy.
There is no such things as injuries, just new biometric datasets. Rejoice!!!Not ideal, but gives Rob Inness and new medicos a first hand look at Walshy’s stressors, as opposed to anecdotal info. Plenty of time to redeem fitness levels before the season proper.
