4 weeks is a solid lay off for a hammy.
Generally a grade 1 hammy (v small tear) is a 2-4 week injury

Grade 2 (bigger tear): 6-8 weeks

Grade 3 (biggest tear/off the bone): 10+ weeks up to 16 with surgery

My money would be on a grade 1 hammy that we are gonna take our time with, so 2-3 weeks of minimal work then building up back to full training 4-6 weeks from now

Tom morris. Delaying scans until Monday which seems weird.
Nah pretty common. If there’s swelling the scan just sees loads of fluid and doesn’t really provide the answers.

Oscar McDonald (I think) thought he’d done an acl last year but his knee was so swollen that they didn’t get to know the full extent for a month or so and it turned out to be less severe.

I will say there is an impact test they can do that is around a 95% indicator of ACL damage so if they feared that you’d assume it would’ve been reported as such

Fingers crossed, Newy has been one of our most important players for a few years now
