"He has not been sighted at training for two weeks." This was on the AFL website;
Tom Williamson
There had been concern for the defender after he sat out the last two sessions. But the club is adamant it is simply giving the youngster a breather after a brutal workload following a year out of the game with a debilitating back problem.

Now the club could be lying, Soapy could be wrong or Barrass could be wrong - the question is why you are so certain Barrass is right and not the other two.

There you go. I was told exactly the same thing. Nothing has even been mentioned to me about another issue.

Thanks for confirming that Soapy V is full of shit

Great BF effort. Mindless and wrongheaded abuse in the best traditions.

Why wrongheaded you ask when Soapy had clearly posted that Williamson was tracking well at 4259. But note the cautions - the back injury had recurred -all positive but patience needed.

And then you reckon Soapy "blown out of the water" by Barrass with the statement that Williamson won't be playing for a while and it is not his back.

Wrongheaded because the accounts of Soapy and Barrass are not inconsistent. Soapy was clearly talking about Williamson's back. There is nothing in the Barrass post that contradicts Soapy re the back being in good shape but caution being taken.

Barrass provides additional information - that it is not just the back that needs to be worried about. Soapy never said he had done a full medical examination and could confirm he was fully fit.

So unless you have a source of information that actually contradicts what Soapy posted - about the back - then you have no basis whatsover to go Soapy or his post.

What you should do is examine how you analyse and interpret information received. But obviously enough you have very finite limits in that category. Carry on.

Over time you can tell if they are just giving you an answer v the truth. Ie. People said willo is ok but he might not be now.

He said he holds back certain info, that suggests you have some idea of what is a company line or not.

Vaguely rings a bell that Soapy may have said some info gets held back, once upon a time.

Doesn't take a genius to realise that he could get his nephew in serious trouble at the club if he posted certain observations that may be shared with family. Sometimes you get told something in confidence, and the right thing to do is not plaster it on an internet forum - shocking, I know!

Have to agree. Think it's a combination of ability, mongrel and the fact he was a late pick. Expectation is high for the early draftees, but it would be nice to have a late draft success story.

Always impressed with his poise for a young kid and that left foot is elite. Just hope it will all come good. He's a favourite

In regards to Willow...

I was at the open training session on the 18/1

Willow trained with the main group for half of the session. He then had a 5minute convo with AR while the boys went of and did more training, which he then walked to the rooms and wasn’t seen again..

I assumed at the time it might have been a hammy strain or something along those lines as he looked pretty down after the convo with AR..

Only my assumptions though..

It's January.

And your comment asserts this:

... which is a judgement on Fasolo's intelligence, not his professionalism, based on a supposed fact.

Anyone who when given a lifeline to revive their flagging AFL career and doesn't think avoiding doing dumb shit and staying sober is a good idea while doing it is a deadshit in my books.

Players are applauded often for their professionalism. So what's the issue with calling out the unprofessional ones?

Feel free to be concerned. Feel free to call him whatever you like. But fancy judging someone for having a drink on Australia day!

We judge drunk morons all the time on Australia Day. It's literally one of the best days to use for identifying them through their behaviour.

Cause you're not calling out unprofessional ones. Most of them cut loose.

Besides, Fas wasn't thrown life line... Collingwood were happy to sign him again. He moved clubs via free agency not delisted free agency. Presumably for a fresh start and more opportunity.

He was playing like crap in the VFL, was bog average in VFL GF.

He knew the writing was on the wall at Collingwood.

What writing? Stop spouting nonsense. He had a pretty good year overall in the vfl, his grand final wasn't spectacular, fair enough. However as I said before Collingwood would've re-signed him so your ott assertions that his time was up and we threw him a lifeline are kinda voided

My 19 year old nephew was diagnosed with Crohn's late last year and this is his 9th week in hospital and he had a 3rd major bowel operation last week.
He is supposed to be starting his 2nd year of Aviation at uni but being an auto-immune disease I doubt he will ever be able to fly.
This is a guy who is a state level swimmer and a double black belt in taekwondo. His mental health is very bad atm :(
