Well lets just remind ourselves that it was you who insisted on calling out the use of the word snowflake - as if that word was of primary interest.

In calling out the use of the word snowflake-you chose to ignore the context and also to ignore the reason why it was used as if to say "nothing to see here except some rude use of a word snowflake " - surprised me since you are usually a rational and fair minded person.

It takes a fair bit for me to be bothered - I am now bothered so I will continue to correct your construction.

C4 wasn't making a 'case' - a case was being made against him.
I don't think there was anything 'manifestly inadequate ' in any of his responses - including the use of a summary descriptor 'snowflake' which in my opinion was not only to the point but also avoided a lot of strangled prose.
As for gaps between 'parties' - there seems to be an implied license provided to a very few - to throw dressed up bricks - so to speak - whenever their self declared superior moral high grounds are sullied.

Direct your attention in that area if you wish to make a statement regarding inflammatory intent.

"Manifestly indadequate" does not refer to his position, simply the term used.

My response is simply grounded in the view that to respond to someone's mistaken conception of your meaning with a term that is clearly provocative and potentially rooted in the narrow tribalism of identity politics is a really ****ing stupid way to make your point.

All it can do is entrench misunderstanding and polemicize. The view of C4's post was formed through the prisim of that party's experience of similar comments from other people being racist in nature. This is a misconception, (i believe); on their part. But using the term snowflake is dismissive of the interpretor's position.

Neither party in this dispute means the other any ill-will. Using divisve language makes it harder for the parties to reconcile.

Our positions are not that far apart Jab. C4 is claerly not racist in his meaning, but someone has interpreted it that way. Understanding, acknowledgement and finding that common ground is the way forward; not n adversarial approach.

Agree. It's very easy to overlook that the absolute majority of our good work this year was done without Docherty, Curnow, Cuningham and Marchbank. Put them into our best 18 and even before the trade period we're already looking much stronger for next year.

I understand the point.

However history says we will always have 3-4 of best 22 out each week.

To assume we will improve if we have zero injuries is extremely optimistic.
