I wouldn't be trading Fisher

I wouldn't necessarily say others on the list have gone past him, but the pack is definitely gaining ground quickly.

I could be completely wrong, but it seems after a good 2018 Fish expected it all to just 'happen' for him this year, and it didn't. If all goes to plan this trade period, by mid 2020 he may find himself down the pecking order, and he will have to absolutely bust his a** to get back in team, or look elsewhere for opportunity.

Worried the latter could happen.

Hope he hits the gym and has a huge pre-season and comes out firing in 2020. If he ends up traded back to WA he'll absolutely tear it up, and end up another "being traded was the kick up the backside I needed" story, of which we've already produced too many.

Whilst paps has nominated us, I wouldn’t rule out north. They can offer much more than us in a trade. Their first and mason wood wouldn’t be outside the realms of possibility

It's an odd thing that I see the #8 as being fair for us to pay for Papley, but can't see North paying their #7 for him.

I guess it's because I see us needing Papley more than North would.....maybe.

Wut. Pick 8 vs Pick 9?

They certainly aren't going to, nor can they, package in Pick 27.

Wood would be separate or a token pick. They don't want him anymore.

I prefer Browne of the Stephen variety. Least he did a few good things for us onfield.
I really hoped Steven 'suitcase' Browne worked out for us. I still see him around the traps over here in Perth and sat near me at the Carlton v Freo game this season. He was going off like the rest of us nuffs when Murph kicked the winner.

FWIW Jake Niall reckons we'll give pick 9 and probably get something back from the Swans. - From the Age podcast

Jake Niall is a smart man.
As I previously mentioned, SOS is pushing for a 2nd back to help offload for Martin.

Future first has been offered to WC for Gaff. Low % to happen but it is silly season and Eagles need room for Kelly.

Think we all need to take a breath.

Some really do lose their minds through the trade period, and it hasn’t even started yet!

Talk of trading the likes of Fisher and Dow is crazy, particularly for what some had coming back the other way

And we’ve got a long way to go yet, but Fisher + Dow for Papley might be the worst trade suggestion we’ll see this year.

I wouldn’t trade either of them for Papley, let alone both.

The mind boggles...

Silly season.....not crazy season :)
WC would want SPS to come along with that, for it to make sense for them.

I do wonder whether we will get that bite on next years first. Could really tidy up this trade period, off nicely.
