Pretty sure doc has done the same knee twice
Nope... same knee..
Well **** me, I’m not the smartest bloke in the room then am I?
Actually I am, it’s just me and the dog, stoopid dog.
“It was a contact acl though right dog?”
“Woof you idiot human”
“Stupid dog”

Hill, Billings then....

Maybe Marshall in a few years. They are even but lack star power. I think they’re set up for a Nth Melb run of earnest, solid mid ladder obscurity for the next few years.

Yeap

As for North, I see them as the biggest sliders

I agree, Gibbs attitude on field was the ultimate professional

I guess timing/value is a moving scale of possibilities

Let's say the offer for Gibbs was similar a year earlier(we know it wasn't). Gibbs may have helped the Crows win a flag and players in that pick 10/16 range were Bowes, Florent/Marshall, Berry

A year later LOB, Bonar/Richards,Higgins

Most times, striking early is beneficial for both sides
Would have been 15 and 44 (First and a second from Adelaide - the only offered the 3rd or Lyon which in hindsight would have been OK)
Adelaide took Gallucci with that pick. Bowes and Florent were already gone. From the predraft rumours we would have taken Hayward ,who had a good first 2 year but stalled this year as the Swans struggled (propably would have struggle with us).
We wouldn't have taken Marshall given we went tall the year before and is 1 player I really don't rate as he doesn't impose himself on a game.
Berry and SPP would have given us immediate impact in the middle but aren't great users.

I am happy with the outcome though it would have had massive impacts. 2016 would have been a tough year.

I actually cant believe there os a stkilda top 4 2020 thrrad and they say we get ahead of ourselves
A bottom 3rd side that has lost 2 good players and got in 3 good players and they are supported to move up to the top 4.

Look pretty ordinary last time I saw them live. They are relying on a kid who hasn't played a game holding their forward line together.

So like 50 years ago lol
You did say, ever...lol...
Anyway , just randomly popped into thread for first time in about for days to see what people still discussing giving trade period all over.

Capper was first one that came to mind.
In my time of watching footy, seen them have John Roberts from SA as a recruit, then Capper in mid 80's then Minto-Connell from us, then Lockett from Saints, then Barry Hall for Saints and later Buddy from Hawks.

Capper is only one I seen them develop in my time from memory.
Sam Reid the other but he more tall utility than pure key forward.

Amd reid averages 12 games a seasonn lol

Was really impressed with Gibbo this year. Seems like he played better as the season went on. Great work ethic and determined. Should've been rewarded with a contract.

He might get one yet. Could easily be be upgraded with our final pick in the National Draft, especially if we take 5 live picks in (the last of which is currently 85). Silvagni got his signature on a new rookie contract very quickly after Round 23 - definitely didn't want him playing anywhere else. Will depend on how we fare with delisted free agents though.

For mine, I think the Deluca delisting was bound up with this, just to provide maximum flexibility in advance of the draft. Training on, I think he's likely to be re-rookied in any case, but especially if Gibbons is upgraded.

An interesting question is if H,Mitch,Charlie and Jones,Plow,Marchbank and Weiters are in the side, where does Levi play?
How often do we have all of those players available to play at the same time? Even if they were there's still room for Levi. He will play in most games next year just as he did this year. I wouldn't be surprised if he played in more games than a couple of those you have listed.

Which highlight why key forwards in general across the league are highly valued as so hard to find a good one over time.

One of reasons Essendon were so reluctant to let Daniher go as so hard to replace.

F: Cripps Cripps Cripps
HF: Cripps Cripps Cripps
C: Cripps Cripps Cripps
FO: Cripps Cripps Cripps
HB: Cripps Cripps Cripps
B: Cripps Cripps Cripps

I: Cripps Cripps Cripps Cripps

I see we still haven't solved our small forward problem.

Other than that, it looks perfect :)

St Kilda might make the top 4..... Of the teams that miss the finals.

Even then.... Probably not.
