So not disputing he actually had chats with us. Just that he never officially requested a trade...Port Adelaide Statement - Ollie Wines
The club has released the following statement on Ollie Wineswww.portadelaidefc.com.au
All of this is bit like 'wow' or 'wtf' for me. Not sure what to make of this. Has there been a similar case of apparently a player or their management leaking to media like this, and what was the end result...The Wines leak deliberate.
Given he’s contracted, he’s in an untenable situation now.
Eddie doing a poor job of trying to not let it slip.
Interesting they stop short of saying his management hasn’t looked, only confirming he hasn’t requested a tradePort Adelaide Statement - Ollie Wines

Blame Malthhouse for him leaving blues.

Just can’t see a trade scenario where we can get Wines, Papley and Martin.
We don’t have the currency bar someone leaving who can get us another high pick.
Pretty lame statement from them ...The story was that his management approached Carlton to facilitate a trade.
This story says Wines didn’t request a trade nor did port seek to trade him lol.
Trying to be slick.
Absolutely no way in hell Port would entertain that.Marchbank to Port, Wines to Carlton.
Just putting it out there
Hawthorn ruckman Marc Pittonet is set to join Carlton on a two-year deal.
Pittonet, who had a one-year offer on the table from the Hawks, has decided to cross to the Blues, who offered a longer-term contract. Pittonet's prospects of becoming a regular senior player would appear better at Carlton, given that he is behind veteran Matthew Kreuzer, but, at 23, more developed than promising Blues tall Tom de Koning.
Back-up ruck Andrew Phillips has been linked to Essendon during this trade period.
Has anyone checked Ollie Wines Insta to see who he’s following?
You forgot:
1. MM didn't like or rate Eddie.
2. MM made sure we offered unders.
3. MM wanted Daisy.
