Round 1 Carlton vs Richmond
Kreuzer wins the tap down to cripps who win the first clearances handball out to Walsh who kicks is long to center half forward McGovern and Curnow fly for the mark ( McGovern puts his knee in the back of Rance head 😂) balls comes to ground Papley roves it brilliantly handballs over the top to Eddie who shrugs off grimes snaps around the corner and kicks the first goal of the yr and 50 thousand Carlton supporters erupt
Can he do the left foot banana from the boundary thing instead?

I can't believe how underrated wines is on this board. Not in the tippy top list of Afl best players but the boy knows how to football and would be a fantastic pick up.
If we got Wines I would kiss SOS straight on his mouth.

Was one of my favourites in his draft year and have loved him since. Had a rough few years due to injury and the strange tog restriction placed on the gluttony of inside mids at Port, but is/can be an absolute elite inside mid so would be great for us.

Not worth 2 firsts for us right now with our targets, but if we gain our targets and that price softens a little - I'd be interested to see what could happen on the clock this Wednesday afternoon, especially if the Port fans start to turn on him.

Last season impacted the value in some people’s minds. He’s sensational. But I think Papley serves us more. I hope we could get both at the expense of Martin if necessary.

Budget second string ruck to replace Phillips who wants a 2+ year contract and will go elsewhere to get it. If he's serviceable that's more than enough.

With any luck we'll give up less for Pittonet than we get for Phillips and we'll come out of it with a younger, marginally better back-up ruck for a late pick upgrade.

I think you're underselling him a little...only 23, definitely has the potential to keep improving and be our no.1 ruck full time once Kreuz is done.

Sounds like mcGovern and Curnow need to improve their running patterns if they are both going for the same ball ........

More a question of balance than talent, I believe.

Workable, but I think waiting 12 months and using 2020 to sound out the market for a more "balanced" midfielder would be the smart play.
