Just like to thank Aphrodite and the other Carlton mods who started the Bluemours NON Discussion Thread and who have kept it free of chat over the past few years.

It helps so much when you just don't have the time to read through this thread, cheers and great job.

NOTE: Just want to put this out there as me becoming a conspiracy theorist and reading way to deeply into the situation buttttt......

Harry McKay has unfollowed Carlton on instagram
He follows North Melbourne on instagram
Ben Brown has been told to find a new home

Conclusion...... ????
Youd be mad to join nth now, starting a rebuild and look well off the level, we just getting into gear in our rebuild, i wouldnt want to start that painful losing experience again, but hey that just me

They are skinning the entire list and starting again. Much like GCS and GWS had to...

Except Norf dont have 10 picks in the 1st round two years in row and they're selecting in a year where there been no TAC Cup...

Adelaide threatening to match any bid to then force a trade, nek minute Brad stays and Adelaide continue being the gift that keeps on giving.
They should be keeping him around anyway. Can't let all the mature guys go and have a team of kids with no hardened bodies around them.

yes it certainly was, but do you think it may work if we have Crips, setters, and Oliver getting the ball out to Walsh, Martin, and Williams. If Oliver comes in he may just replace Ed in a year or 2.

I reckon we should steer clear from Oliver... will cost too much trade currency.

I'm really warming more to just going after Jack Graham and can see why the club has been rumoured to be going after him too.

75% disposal efficiency ...
68.7% kick efficiency ... ranks elite
Tackles, tackles i50 and pressure acts... ranks elite over his career
rates above average for goal assists and score launches

He has a big tank, has almost 50/50 split with his possessions in offensive and defensive half... he is a two-way runner...

Only 22/23 years old, has proven he can make an impact in big games and brings some flag success with him too.

He sounds exactly like the type of player we need and with Ed Curnow approaching 31... he'd be the perfect replacement.

Current rumours are that Graham has re-signed with Tigs... If that is the case, who could be another reasonable target.... Also, whilst I reckon Saad could still be a possibility, I am not sure how likely this will be... So aside from Graham and Saad, who would be another player in this pick/price range of the late first/early second round pick type... Just asking...

Yep Adelaide got lucky they hit the draft hard the last few years.

This time by all reports the player actually wants to stay. Can you imagine them matching in the hope to get a better pick and Crouch just stays, would make my day
what a strange situation that would be. I hope he does stay with a massive pay increase :)

Hands On said:
Diesel, Fraser Brown & Rats did not set the world on fire with pace.

Imo the speed comes from the mind and the hands ..

The ruckman/men is/are a huge factor here. If your blokes know where it is going it doesn't matter as much if you are "slow".

Without Harry Madden our mids in the 90's would have struggled more.

Hawks in 2013-2015 had very handy centre bounce combo's in Bailey/Hale and then McEvoy/Hale.

We get exposed more at present because Pittonet is a solid battler and TDK is learning. Gawn made Melbourne's midfield look like Olympic sprinters in the first half against us and Viney and Oliver are certainly not that.

If we get Williams does that mean our midfield is sorted? We’ll also have kemp coming through next year so answer maybe is yes.

Hopefully with his addition and adding others to the mid rotation it can work a bit better. We can rotate Williams and SPS through the mid/HBF/bench roles and add Cuners, Martin, Fisher through the HFF/Mid/Bench rotation. I think thats what we need more of, more blokes who go through the middle with Cripps, Ed, Setters, Walsh, Williams and Dow.

I know people say we got Williams for midfield but i wont be surprised if he does play parts of games as that HBF.

I think Alex Witherden would be another one in that range.

Has great kicking skills, gets his fair share of the pill, his pressure acts aren't bad and what he lacks in pace he makes up for with his penetrating kicking which would really help break the lines.

I kind of agree with what you're saying, but c'mon, Dow not quick? It's literally his main selling point as a player at the moment.
I kind of agree, I think Dows speed is a little overrated. He's not slow but his speed isn't elite. When he bursts out of a pack he really doesn't pull away like Dangerfield or Treloar, he kind of just gets out of the pack and then most guys are matching his speed from that point on. Great acceleration without a great top speed.

Whats all the oliver chat about, i would highly doubt hes on the market
For harry? not a chance
And to similar to cripps
Never mind Oliver.
I heard a whisper we are in to Nicholas Nickleby.
