Forgot about him. Would rather him to Lonie. Don’t know Gresham, but I know Lonie (family). Pass on Jack, Jade was popular when drafted if I remember.

Jade would be a great get... a 40/60 inside/outside runner with a damaging kick. I think I was his leading cheerleader back in 2015. I think the pundits were touting him as going later in the draft, but he came out as a bolter.

We won 2 games and got belted all year...

Essendon won 12 games with a list that looked like it was starting to come together - it wasn't exactly old, as well as landing plenty of recruits.

There was nothing shortsighted about it, he took the punt on a team ready to challenge and it's now clear that was the wrong move. I don't begrudge him for it, I actually feel a bit bad for him as he's cooked his career now; most players would have picked Essendon back then though.
