From Essendon's board and a few agreed: "I have been reliably told that Dev is one of the main issues with the players being disgruntled...He's the first to bag teammates, refuses to man up and basically runs his own show..Not very popular at all !"

We've heard noise about Shiel not being popular either.

Thank god we dodged these bullets. Can't imagine Stringer being good for culture either. Their best recruit in Saad has chosen us. It's all falling apart.

We won 2 games and got belted all year...

Essendon won 12 games with a list that looked like it was starting to come together - it wasn't exactly old, as well as landing plenty of recruits.

There was nothing shortsighted about it, he took the punt on a team ready to challenge and it's now clear that was the wrong move. I don't begrudge him for it, I actually feel a bit bad for him as he's cooked his career now; most players would have picked Essendon back then though.

It was clear back then too mate

Daniher was also a big part apparently. Poor Shiel. Hopes hes mentally prepared for a rebuild with that nice long contract of his.

Has shades of Goddard about him. Gets traded in when they were supposed to be challenging and BAM! Down the ladder they go.

Well, he was interested in property development.

I feel like JSOS will end up at Essendon.
I’ve been thinking of that as well. I’m also afraid that they’ll grab BSOS in the rookie draft as well. The pair of them would be exactly what * needs in their forward line.

Agree, but that is what I've been forwarded. We know we have a CEO who has some love for Richmond players... Caddy is a two time premiership player who has played with 2 great teams. Can play forward and mid, and doesn't mind moving clubs. My mail may not be right, but something 'fits' about it for me to have mentioned it.
We have a CEO who needs to keep out of the football operations department. Although, the only knock I have about Caddy is that he’s one paced.

He must be so disappointed with what has become of his footy club.

He was part of the cover up during the drugs saga. He is complicit in helping to create the 'take no responsibility' culture which lead to compensation to older players for being injected with god knows what. I have to wonder if some of those older players who remained really gave a damn after that time. Still, can't be too many of those guys left now.

Shiel will have the whole field to himself soon. Can knock up some units where Joe and Adam and the rest piling out the door used to stand.

Might be able to hit a target then?
