So, in summmation, this week we got Saad, Williams and didn’t sack a Silvagni.

We have Established we are a destination club again.
Everyone including Elvis wants to be part of the action
We have had an in depth education on the Criminal Justice system
There has been an attempt to change our opposition hate list from the filth to the handbaggers
We should all now be Champion negotiators based on advice of how to handle DODO
Thank God not to many complex Pick swap/player swap formulas have graced the board this afternoon.

Love this place in silly season. Off to watch the Aints and Tuggers and will be back later to catch up on the next 50+ pages for Sh*ts and giggles :D

Dodo's obviously just going to stall everything, acting in bad faith until he is convinced that he has no choice.

A dumb person's idea of a strategist

Get on the front foot and trade pick 7 out, and do whatever tf we want to do.

Ain't going to be attached to Dodo's theatrics this trade period. There doesn't seem to be another club involved yet for anything we want to do Re: paps, Daniher.

No other clubs involved, uncontracted player, mass exodus at a club... If he doesn't be reasonable, he's GAAAWWWWWN!!!

Pick 7 + Walsh/C Curnow. Just your normal, sane asking price for an out-of-contract 26 year old.

Obviously, that’s ridiculous.

Don’t know how many of you have to negotiate as part of your jobs, but when someone is simply being ridiculous you walk away. They will come back.

But more importantly, they have no credibility and they may well get ignored. When a negotiator gets ignored, they’re actually not helping anyone, especially their client.

And Saad has already said he’ll go PSD.

I've actually come to really like Buckley.

(Not something I thought I'd ever say )

He has developed into a very good coach and he's now one of the coaches I most enjoy listening to when talking about the game.

Youre right, the only thing is that this matter is from 2015 and was resolved to the satisfaction of all parties in 2018 and involved police. Now, he has since been charged. Its all a bit strange but as you alluded to, it's not a good look to be drafting a player on indecent assault charges.

exactly. nothing to do with innocence or guilt, just perception.

Can only assume he’s demanding straight swap for Walsh 🙄🙄🙄

Can you imagine? Nobody in the AFL world would entertain that as a reasonable ask, even Essendon fans. They couldn’t even say “well he’s contracted” or “he’s a required player” (given they’ve already started calling Saad selfish). But oh, we’ll take a second year #1 pick whose stock has gone up since he was drafted.

If Dodoro genuinely asked for pick and Walsh/C Curnow (seriously), we should leak it to the media. No one would think that is reasonable and when the trade falls over, Essendon loses the PR war.
I think it's been leaked right here.
