This alone makes me more interested in Brad Crouch.

At the price he'd have been demanding, no way. For the 500-600 a year he'll be lucky to get now, absolutely.

So, we take him under the Curnow Clause?

Preuss has asked to be traded, won’t pretend to be an ITK, it was mentioned on SEN
Was always a head scratching decision to ask to go to a club with one of the top three ruckmen in the league.

No thanks I think we can do better...has had injury issues throughout his entire career. We have enough players with injury issues as it is.
Isn't really that consistent, doesn't always appear to be in the best shape.

Paton has had a great year. Hind or Noble can make a real difference in games with that leg speed, I’d like to see Hind given more opportunity at half back as well.

Surely he’ll have the sense to choose a club that he won’t be a backup at this time.

That's not us anymore.

Was always a weird decision to head to Melbourne

Speaks to his decision making process and potential for commitment imo. Regardless of who in our clubs takes them, knowingly bringing in users is not the right path imo. He won't be the difference for us.

I remember at the time being completely confused about why he thought he'd have a better chance of ruck time at Melbourne.

Yep. One of the more confusing trade decisions ever by Preuss. Had everyone stumped, and still does to this day.

I can only assume that Melbourne seriously thought they were a premiership team after that prelim and paid him a massive 2nd ruck surplus to ensure they weren't ruckless on future GF day in the case Gawn was out.

Now with Luke Jackson on board and GF day looking more a dream than reality, they are trying to offload the most expensive 2nd string ruck in history.

the Brad Crouch to port connection is brought up once again. I wonder who would go out to make room...
