I’m getting a very “Malthousey” feel about this. Whatever move the club makes, far out I hope they think it through. Properly.
If Clarko does indeed end up with us, I really hope he has the passion for the job. The passions to fight for more flags. And not just a job for job sake.

As long as he isn't on a book signing tour, and the subject of an Archibald Prize portrait, I think we'll be right..

They would not need to i am assuming they already have culture. I am starting to think you are Mark LoGiudice . You certainly think like them. We can do know wrong do not blame us lol.

I meant prior to them succeeding

I will reiterate, no board member is involved with selection, gameplan, tactics kicks, marks, tackles, etc

But not surprised that most supporters are pointing a finger in every direction

Seeing how it’s all too easy to pin your flag to the mast after the event around here, I’ll go with my crystal ball and say that Clarko won’t coach us next year. I agree with Wickzki though that he’s already settled on his new club. Uneducated guess says Gold Coast. Looking forward to seeing how wrong I am.

COVID affected season, but going in to this year you could have said Will Setterfield. Which probably raises more questions than answers...

Played completely out of position, gets dropped and ignored.
Works his way back into the team, cops an injury. Played after 4 weeks off, obviously struggles, dropped again.

Horrific coaching, just one example.

At the same time, it's not like he came into the team and showed intent. He came into the team and looked totally disinterested. You can call it mismanagement or bad coaching, but if the player themselves don't care enough to put in effort on the day you can't put that on the coaches

Port Adelaide could be a dark horse for Clarko if the Power fail in the finals again.

Kenny should be on thin ice if Port don't at least make the Granny imo

Clarko has stated from memory his son is doing his last year of High School next year and that is the most important thing for his family etc. People that know him have said no way would he go interstate 'next year' and up root the family eg Port or GC.

Best laid plans and all that of course, but if he coaches next year will be us or the Pies. If not a year off in the media and refresh, then see what he thinks (he already has his payout for next year, so has amazing choices)

? Kens safe as houses. Cause a few fans blow up on here doesn't make it otherwise. Their list is technically still fairly young. They're going well

That's the thing. No one reallu knows. You keep hearing conflicting reports in the media (such as the club seeking out Leppitsch to potentially be an senior assistant to Teague next season etc)

Hypothetically if a decision has been made and we (God Willing) smash St Kilda tonight, does the board still come out next week (after the review is done) and say Teague won't be coaching us next year?

Somebody knows, just not us peons on an internet forum. Not sure that you and I and anyone else here being uncertain about what Teague has or has not been told has any relevance to the situation at all. We'll find out when interested parties decide to make it known, or someone leaks it. A lack of running commentary from the club doesn't equate to a lack of movement.
