I'm in IT as well (Developer side) and it's impossible to hire.

couple of years ago you'd put an ad up and have 80 resumes to go through. now you get 3-4 and most of them aren't qualified or what you're looking for.

Watson has two aspects to his public image:

Timmy the former 15 year old prodigy, father of Jobe, matey matey with characters of the game etc

& Tim Watson, Essendon & AFL insider.

Timmy probably thinks Luke is a "nice young man".

But there is also nothing more certain than Tim Watson proposing something that would not be of value for Carlton.

Timmy might be encouraging other teams to recruit the direct competition for his nephews spot at the Saints.....

Depends what you mean by top level.
Craig played SANFL prior to the AFL's inception.
Additionally,
Wayne Brittain played in QFL
Brendon McCartney in Geelong Leagues.

There may be others but yeah, they all predate Bolton.

Years ago I was deadset that we should nab him. Age and injury concerns are a worry now. On the fence.

If Russell survives the great cull, he'd be a perfect project to get fit. Won't cost much and will be the best quality KPD on the market dollar for dollar.

I feel very sad at how this SPS situation is (likely) going to pan out. His first year at the club was excellent. I don't know if it's coaching, development, or Samo not wanting it enough, but whatever has happened, it has been a monumental failure.
