If we trade or try to lowball JSOS that will just about do me in. Should be in the leadership group next year, is one of very few who plays unconditionally and with huge heart.

I highly doubt this. He is the probably the most versatile player on our list and definitely the one with the highest footy IQ!

I am also of the opinion that Cripps needs to become a fwd/mid 60/40. We look much more balanced with Kennedy, Walsh, Dow as our mains

Jones is 30yo I think we can turn gov into our next Jones. In the mean time we play him in Plowmans roll! Gov doesn’t get a lot of credit in here but he has huge upside and is extremely mobile

The best small forward ever. Played at CHF and at times FF in times during his career. Never ever, lowered his colours.

I'm a firm believer that every player is tradeable.. BUT.. after what JSOS has delivered this season, the outcome would want to be pretty bloody good.

You can teach it. That's if the students are willing to learn. It could only be some small points of advice but it would be a massive thing to get right. I agree, he would have to be a good coach wouldn't he?

Another thing I have been talking about for years too is having high profile former players on your coaching panel. IMO it makes a big difference to having players want to come to your club and has probably cost us when it has come to wooing players to come here. They also make a big impact in terms of respect for the playing group. Players are going to be told what they don't want to hear a lot, who that is coming from makes a difference. If it's coming from a well respected coach and former legends of the game and the leadership group it's hard to ignore and that is how players can be pushed to go that little further and we lack this.

Another question I had is would Clarkson and Hodge work together (if they were to be reunited at Carlton)?

I'd call BS on that, there is no way they would be telling players they are on the trade table prior to the season ending. Not even at our club.

Wont stop the list management team planning ... not like they will wait around for when/if a new coach along to strategize ... FFS ... sure the new coach (if we get one) will have input, but the whole footy club ain't go and play golf for the next 3 months ...
