Cerra does not want to come to us if Lyon is our coach next year - Ross isn't a huge fan of Cerra either.

Was doubtful on using our first rounder on him already, now this just makes up my mind. Unless we get Clarko of course! ;)

Ross on footy classified a few weeks back said Carlton need to get him and that he was an absolute professional. Now he isn’t a fan? Hmm

This couldn’t be more off the mark

It's coming from this article yesterday.

Fremantle young gun Adam Cerra is waiting on Carlton to confirm its coaching situation before making a call on his future, as he would prefer Ross Lyon isn’t the man at the helm in 2022.

Dylan Stephens name raised on SEN again as possibly being moved on by the Swans, highly rated in his draft, supposedly we were going to take him, has anyone seen him the last two seasons to know why, he hasn’t cemented his spot at the Swans?

SOS was big on him in his draft year.

I dunno what to make of him at AFL level. Very outside player, which we knew anyway, but has looked suspect in general play. His pace isn’t much of a weapon against against players who are almost as quick.

Early stages, but I’m getting Raph Clarke vibes.

Don't buy property near the water, its worthless

Point in case

Not sure why people believe media articles

I certainly don't unless it comes directly from the Club.

Way too much speculation and media are bored and need to report on something (click bait)

We should trade nexts years first with GWS for their pick this year (not Collingwood’s. Unless they’re felling generous) and try to get 2022 picks in return for either SPS or Fisher. Then next year trade that pick amd our second for a first. I’m sure someone will need points

Has been linked with Collingwood from a previous article, and there’s always the return home to Adelaide with their interest.

Edit: good form from the Swans making it tough. W.Hayward a good example of one dropped earlier this year.

Any article that links any player to Collingwood, I laugh. The Poes first pick currently is in the late 30s, with Daicos tipped to go number 1, they have a very low chance of being able to do a trade for anyone.

I mean, if you can't develop as a player at Sydney then maybe you are just at your natural ceiling.

We already have LOB, very similar footballers though quicker off the mark.
I’d do a straight swap only

I'm curious - why?

Not being disparaging, just wondering what you see as being the key motivation for picking up an extra pick in the 12-18 range this season, given that we'd be going into 2022 with a bunch of second and third rounders to try and trade back up into the first round.

I'd rather the extra years development for a minor pick downgrade, I dunno if the Giants would go for it but they are still stacked with young talent and can wait. Maybe expect us to miss the 8 again and collect a decent pick?

No idea which players would be available at that range, but our own Tom Powell would be perfect.

Where in that article does it say Ross isn't keen on Cerra?
"He’s waiting on this coaching situation. He’s spoken with Carlton, but he’d prefer Ross Lyon isn’t the coach. He wasn’t a huge fan of Ross Lyon at Fremantle. Dockers people tell me Ross wasn’t a huge wrap for Cerra either,” Morris told AFL Tonight.
