Yes, some people on here are definitely saying we'll finish top 4 if we recruit Wines. Refer to the example above.

Given what we know about how teams were to perform this season, 6-1 was a realistic proposition for Port.

Geelong and Richmond are proven performers. It's no coincidence that they've ended up in the position they are in today. Port had a good year based on favourable circumstances. They'll decline next year. You just wait and see.
I genuinely hope that we can bring Wines in, along with Williams and Saad, and then indeed see whether we make top 4 in 2021. Also I’d be equally comfortable with a likely top 4 finish if we get Oliver rather than Wines.

Wines alone may not put us into the top four. But add all of those factors into it and those posters may deduce that "with the addition of Wines on top of the other factors then Wines can put us into the top four."

It's things that aren't needed to be said to get the understanding of what they're saying.

was just watching the SANFL half time break and the kid that won goal of the year who plays for the Eagles, Sodas said Carlton are into him watch this space. Small forward - stats for year in the pic. Interesting, anyone know any more on this? Has supposedly lit it up in his first year but I admittedly don’t watch much SANFLView attachment 988801

Does not look a pure kick of the footy, most of those goals do not come off the boot well at all. What's his disposal like generally for those who've seen a bit more of him?
Nah, he has a beautiful kick for the most part from what ive seen.....and a deadeye in front of the sticks. The first goal he’s kicked from 50 and launched into it, looked a bit unnatural, but he’s anything but

Excellent. Does he provide tackle pressure or have much of a defensive side to his game?

Hahahah, ironic really he’s just roved a loose ball, straightened up and kicked a beautiful drop punt straight through the middle from 30. He applies great pressure around the ground from what I’ve seen of him
