How do we even get drawn into a situation where we think of De Goey as a viable option?

1. The fit just isn't there in the first place, unless CCurnow is busted.
2. We would not take DeGoey on, to play midfield.
3. DeGoey is too high a risk player, even for the 'possible' reward.
4. The CFC could not take the risk to the brand, taking on DeGoey. You know what I mean.
I would say that De Goey's dad knows mentioning Carlton will trigger Eddie and irrationally get him to offer more.

I hope you’re right, as my feeling this will bite us in the bum in Josh Kennedy proportions in the future.

But unfortunately my mail says different.

This was told to me a month ago, could things have changed maybe. But they would have to have changed drastically. As I asked directly if Dow would be traded and was told no way. The club loves him and he loves the club was the response. His knee was giving him trouble for 3 months and he was just cooked in the end.

Lucky he's not contracted or they'd be asking for our first born as well.
I'm surprised we're not linked to Jye Caldwell. Apparently he's seeking midfield time. He'd look good in our centre square alongside Walsh.

Don't think Caldwell offers the immediate improvement we're after.

We'd get the same/similar output by giving games to Dow, Stocker or Kemp, whichever is fit and firing come round one. That's not what we're after though, we want an elite mid to come in and elevate us to genuine finals threat.

My opinion it was psd for Saad since day one. Why else would they trash him?
Nuh, Austin has just come in and seems a very fair and positive operator.

Starting at PSD for us would've stressed Saad and made him less inclined to nominate us.

What happened was we offered a fair price and Dodo has requested Walsh and a pick. Such was the ridiculous nature of it, both Carlton and Saad agreed we may have to use the draft to select him and avoid the Dodoro Circus. This is the man that refused what became picks 9 and a future first (3) for Daniher.

Best thing about the way this is shaping up is that we could still be armed with ALL of our picks and a chest full of coin to use after getting Saady and Zac.

IF we're not having to look at splitting 7 to get a pick that will appease *, I wonder what other creative things we could look at doing for it... particularly on draft night...

What's Austin playing at - how dare he do this to us !

What are we supposed to do the next 23 days - refresh Big Footy every 2 minutes and have no new trades ???

I despise Austin for securing Williams & Saad so early and being too good at his job. Clearly doesn't care about the fans.
