Players I'd be happy for us to be asking the question about:

GWS - Hill, Daniels
GC - Miller, Sexton
Collingwood - Phillips
Richmond - Higgins
Essendon - Zerk-Thatcher (contracted until 2021 and would be very much a required player but I rate him)
Obviously we were after Graham from tigers, so I assume we are still looking at a Graham type somewhere. Not sure who fits that bill from the clubs mentioned.

Brodie?

Steak knives sadly. Diesel doesn't mince his words - and they were damning.
He said the same about Watson. Diesel wouldn't have put Dow in the spotlight if he didn't think he was capable of taking his game to the next level. Listen to diesel talk about Watson, he sees it as a badge of honor when he makes a young player 'hard'.
I don't think Diesal's brand of brutal mentoring would work for everyone but his comments about Dow wasn't to publicly shame him, but rather to motivate him. Wouldn't be my way to motivate a young kid but I guess when you ask for Diesal you get Diesal.

So breaking down Barbazza's tweets ...Not happening ...
JDG (we said no for a variety of reasons - Maybe if he had the "core values").....Merrett (doubtful)....Wines.....Hunter....Dunkley
Still working on but unlikely ... Oliver (30/70 difficult to get done)
Higgins possibly.
We will trade pick 7.
We were interested in Brodie about a year ago. Probably not so much now.

And every one of those points makes sense. It always does in the end.

Splitting that 7 and spending it on Saad and Higgins completes things should Richmond be open to it and should Higgins be willing

I think you mean "I could care less"

Giving us a lecture on how you hate incorrect language and you butcher it yourself, sheesh!

Nope.

If you could care less, that means you care more than zero. Pretty sure Mike D was suggesting he doesn't care at all.

Giving a lecture to someone who was giving us a lecture on how he hates incorrect language and then butchering it yourself? Double sheesh! :p

Teague doesn’t rate Dow, will be traded, we’ll probably take a third rounder at this stage.

I don’t agree - but this what I’ve heard.

i don't believe this is true as I have heard the complete opposite. He is rated and opposition teams are asking the question because they rate as well.
Be even more surprised if we let him go for a 3rd rounder. It's interesting what we hear and from whom though...... :p

As I've said, it was sarcasm :p

I could care less about the misinterpretation, though.

I guess has had 3 years to show why he was a Pick 3, and hasn't. Probably has the problem of being in the same team as Sam Walsh, and being compared to him.
Being injured for most of this year and then only able to Mickey Mouse games in the 2’s, this year is a write off.

He showed enough early to keep him another year if all we’ll be getting is a third rounder. Effectively not losing anything by keeping on a very high end pick.

I’ll be incredibly disappointed if we accept that for him this year

Dow's problem is that he's been a liability defensively - same reason Kennedy is likely trade bait.

Not necessarily.

If I couldn't care less, that would indicate a care factor of zero. However, if I could care less, then that indicates that my level of care is approaching zero but is more than zero.

TBH, if we don't end up with 1 A-grade mid by trading out our firsts I'll be disappointed. I'm not including Williams.
Management has said we're all about getting good right now, and bringing in an A-grade star to perform right now in the midfield.
I don't know what's going on behind closed doors, and obviously we can only ask the question to everyone and then try to persuade them to join, and then you have to deal with the club....but still, it'll be disappointing.
