I believe RB/EB are suggesting that multiple pins have to fall our way in order for the Oliver trade to eventuate. I assume that Treloar is totally out of the picture as suggested by EB. To me, it is an acquisition of Treloar to Melbourne that allows Melbourne to become less one-dimensional and move on one of their bulls.

Also, the Cripps analogy is fair. I would hate to lose Cripps even based on his 2020 form for anything less than a top 5 pick + a ready made player. Oliver's price should start at two first rounders or a similar combination. Something like 7 + Kennedy. Again, I will reiterate that I like the way Kennedy plays, I just don't see a spot for him if we acquire Oliver. He'd get an opportunity at Melbourne somewhere.

Totally agree.. AND hes young.. I mean, he is perfect imo.... BUT Kelly trade as a guide.. Was approx 3300 points of value it cost west coast to get him.. so 2x 1sts and a second but they will want some type of players involved as remember, their coach is on his last year and wont want to hear the reuild crap, hes fighting for his life... So no way he is entertaining the idea of Oliver gone without it helping them..

We have some players struggling to break into our side that will want opportunities - Dow, OB, Stocker, even Newman and Williamson are gonna be fighting for a spot. To try to get Saad and Oliver we are gonna have to give up a player or players from our 2020 best 22.

I don't think we will need to give up best 2020 22 players to get Oliver and or Saad, even with adding Williams

If we land Oliver and Charlie gets fit there is at least 4 players from our 2020 best 22 that aren't in our 2021. Throw in Marchbank, Newman, JSOS & Kemp coming back from long term injuries and some development out of the young blokes and our 2021 best 22 will be massively different form 2020 - we can afford to lose someone.

Greenwood keeping out of the side isn't a great endorsement and I like Greenwood

Treloar is a jet and would compliment Crippa and Walshy perfectly if we were satisfied with his Hammy. He was a diehard carlton man too

Like Shiel, he rejected us when he had the chance, so stuff Treloar. Prefer Oliver, Merrett, Wines, or any other A grade Mid, if they're still available.

Surely there is something to be said about depth, and he is better depth than we have had in the past, I would think. Guys like Lang, Shaw, Smedts, Palmer, Sumner and on.
