As per the Bluemour File OP, this is a thread for discussing Carlton related rumours.
http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/bluemour-file.1085141/

Rumour posters should post their rumours in both threads for those that like just to read rumours and for those that like to have get lost in their rumour files.

Remember ... #Bluemour

I don't get this.
His attack on Liddle was poor.....him implicating MLG was poor....but once he got that out of his system, he's been quite refreshing on radio....to date.
The Saad for #7 is tiresome, but he's being asked the questions.

One can't keep asking the same questions and expect to get a different answer.

What have I missed that's in any way damaging to Cripps?
He's now wearing a different hat and choose to say whatever he wants. What has he said about Cripps that's been out of place?
Wildly speculating about Cripps - our captain - leaving - for clicks - when he knows his character - is a bit much.

I think you’ll find it was more than one. There was a bit of anger around that night.

I still remember the day a poster said Jon Hynes would captain the club one day 😄

If he tells us that Saad should go for #7 again today, I'll be inclined join you. :)

SOS would know stuff too. Maybe he heard something about Cripps earlier in the year and is now hedging his bets.
I just don't see it as a character assassination, but like anything....If one keeps repeating it, it does start feeling as though that may be an aim.

Yeah, im hearing you. You have to remember Harks - I have a tendency to come out of the blocks hard and then simmer down a bit after that. :)

Seb Ross yes. Luke Dunstan no, although I am a bit worried we were strongly linked to him a couple of years ago.

Yep, not sure on Dunstan. I think Gibbons with another pre season under his belt could offer the same, if not more. But what do I know.

Pretty sure this unnamed player is Jarryn Geary. Noted goalscorer, strong defensively, good leadership qualities.
Eaglehawk boy - gives the Bendigo blues link a kickstart...well a little prod at least

I'm not one to pass on rumours but pretty sure the Saints player who wants to come to Carlton is Max King. ;)

Don't ask as I will not reveal my sources.

I've heard the same. Him, Saad, Williams and Bontempelli will a be a decent haul.

100%. But can't tell if his standard of reporting has risen or just others have dropped so much that it makes him look palatable...

A friend of mine was a supp list player at the Bombers, he said Lloyd was the best of the lot, socialised and helped the supp list players as much as the other blokes, he said some wouldn’t even acknowledge the supp listed guys.

Also said Sheedy used to publicly berate the supplementary listed players, he sounded like a knob.

Absolutely no reason why we can't offer treloar a vastly revised contract - shorter term and money. Or heavily performance based....options etc.

It's really up to the Pies to 'make good', legally and morally.

Obviously do one's due diligence, but if the hammys aren't a major issue, you'd take him if available (and Wines/Oliver aren't).

If Oliver really wants in to the mighty Blues, up to him entirely to get the Dees to deal at a fair price.

Just heard that we (Essendon and Us)“are a fair way apart in Saad’s value”

Going off Dodoro's opening gambit, * and reality are also a fair way apart.....

Treloar > >> Ross >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Dunstan>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lonie

How would * fit him into their salary cap? I guess Daniher and co are leaving.. but aren't they still after Dunkley anyway.

So, we have reportedly spent too much to be able to send Saad to the PSD with a front loaded price on his head but not too much to pay both Saad AND the overinflated salary of Treloar to help the Pies out.

Trade Week strikes again.

Wouldn't be surprised if that happened.

He's already worked at 6 different clubs post his playing career, you would think that he will be at another club sooner or later. If there's a position at Essendon that suits him I'm pretty sure he'd take it.

Trade radio:
*don likely to end up with picks 6,7,8 after Daniher & Saad trades (rating Saad at pick 7).
Dunkley likely to end up at *don even though contracted at bulldogs for 2 more years and Bulldogs want to keep him.

Then in the next breath:
Essendon won’t pay overs for Dunkley..even though he’s contracted and doggies want him.
*don would match a Brisbane offer if it wasn’t going to get them pick 7.
All this talk re Merrett leaving is baseless because he’s contracted to *don for another year and*don don’t want to lose him!!!

So in short. Essendon can trade in contracted players for stuff all. Can ask for the world for their players. Can hold their own players to contract, but opposition clubs have to release theirs early.

Is that allowed for us and Treloar to agree to a new contract?

No.

He is out of contract.

We don't even have pick 18.
Free agency/trade period hasn't even started yet.
Second round pick just isn’t going to get it done, like it or not.

A decent club will put out a fair offer, and that’s a late first round pick. Offering pick 27 in isolation is the kind of stuff Dodoro would do. We don’t want to be that type of club
