As per the Bluemour File OP, this is a thread for discussing Carlton related rumours.
http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/bluemour-file.1085141/

Rumour posters should post their rumours in both threads for those that like just to read rumours and for those that like to have get lost in their rumour files.

That's all well and good if the split is available, but I don't think it is now. Essendon are going to pip us at the post and split their Daniher compo with Geelong ruling out that option for us
if * split with geelong before us, we could offer up pick 9 for Saad and one of those cats picks in return. Then * have effectively downgraded pick 7 or 8 for pick 9 and let geelong get higher in the draft. Alternatively we just offer this year's and next years 2nd rounders.

We've been linked to Lonie for a little while. Goddard alluded to him being a guy we should target in his SEN wrap, and given his connections there I think he'd have some indication of where he's likely to end up.

Also fits our needs, and will allow Fisher to play further up the ground.

Well that just freaks me out.

Can you do one for
Play it again Sams?

Easiest way to get Pick 8 off the table is to get rid of it. Essendon then have to accept a later first, or find their own to trade to us in addition to Saad for Pick 8, which isn't going to be easy if they are also bringing in players who are roughly worth a pick in the similar vicinity: Caldwell, Ross etc.
I wonder If we can trade pick 8 to hawks for their future first and move 29 up to 23. Offer 23 and Kennedy for Saad.

If we could grab Menegola and Sexton on top of Williams and Saad I think that's a huge win for us and a massive trade period. Fills a lot of areas of need, yes we'd still be missing that genuine small forward but there isn't many available

That would be a perfect outcome, and I don't think the club is keen to keep too many picks in this draft anyway. May as we re-invest the top picks in next years draft with hopefully some more exposure to junior footy.

Should be no compensation at alll. That is the whole point of FREE agency
Good point, what is the principle in handing out compensation. When a player fulfils his contract, and the club gets the services for the contract it was prepared to offer.....then why should the club be compensated.

To make it more ridiculous why is the compensation value linked to where the team finishes on the ladder. If there must be compensation maybe it should be based on some calculated value of points (based on age, games, salary, etc.) that can be converted to a pick# irrespective of where the team is on the ladder.

Menegola and Sexton - Where are we going to fit all these players?

We may have to delist CCurnow and McKay just to fit them in :)

Would many Fans want to do this trade....
Carlton give pick 8 and 29 to collingwood.
Get pick 16 and Jaiden Stephenson
Give pick 16 to ** for Saad..
That makes Stephensons value at pick 15 don't know if the pies will go for that, who knows maybe the thought of getting pick 8 might sway them.
Don't give a stuff what * want they will get what they are given

Menegola goes onto a wing freeing up Walshy to go inside. Sexton should take the spot up forward off Eddie or release Fisher.

But yes cap wise someone would have to go out.

Good points you make, it is so laughable.

Melbourne received something like pick 3 for Frawley and Hawks received pick 19 for Buddy.

Surely that set off some alarm bells at AFL House.
