That’s a decent Carlton presence Thy which rules out both of your halves.50% is a good result from where Victoria has come from with Covid-19.
Hopefully there is a decent Carlton presence at the game.

My better half thinks she is going....this could get ugly......
My thoughts on that is that he will be brought in to learn the craft and groomed as a direct Buddy replacement.Ben Silvagni joining Sydney Vfl/reserves

About 8 years until Buddy runs out of contract, has timeMy thoughts on that is that he will be brought in to learn the craft and groomed as a direct Buddy replacement.

I suspect they’d probably had a last minute gamble (which isn’t going to cost them much) after the Daniher coup fell apart, while Buddy is still there for a couple of more years.Think you're overrating the signing a bit.
Very late signing for someone who they'd rate quite that highly. Look at how many players our VFL side has signed for example and multiply that by the number of clubs looking at players and it shows out how far down the pecking order he is.
I'd like you to be right. They've got a good track record with developing players so if anyone can extract the potential from him it'd be them.
Let’s be realistic, Ben Silvagni is probably going to be a serviceable player at the seconds level. Good luck to him. Some are late bloomers.

Yep imagine cutting Jeremy McGovern at BSOS age..... he had still a year and half to go before he got a game.

I think you'll find that it's silly to cut a KPP like BSOS before a good 3-4 years in the system. Also anecdotally it does seem that the sons of former players tend to take a bit longer to come along - sometimes several years into their careers before they truly show what they are capable of eg Ablett, Josh Kennedy, Tom Mitchell, McGovern, Rance, Scarlett and I guess Heath Shaw

Not comparing him to Weiters, but take a look at him. Only in his 4th or so year in the system did he become quite dominant over opposition forwards.
Unfortunately with COVID and list cuts, guys like Phillips and BSOS didn't get the opportunities they deserved.
I just think I saw something in BSOS. He was regularly getting lots of praise in the reserves scratch matches last year, but of course they didn't mean anything. Once you consider there was very little room for development in 2020, and he had a season ending injury too, they're just an unfortunate series of events capped off with COVID as a whole. A sh*t year for everyone really. You cant just gift players 3-4 years in the system if you know after 1-2 that they are no chance. Attitude also has a big say in the decision as well. He was behind in development when we drafted him, hence the late pick used for him. Didnt show anything in 2 years on the list. For me, he was cut straight away clearly shows that it wasnt right to warrant a new contract. Hope he does well but players need to show something for clubs to offer contracts in their 3rd/4th years. KPP or not. Even TDK showed plenty in his first two years for the club to be excited about.
Weiters was playing seniors from the start. You could easily see the talent. Just struggled in defence in 2018 when we won 2 games. Toughest position in one of the clubs worst years ever. Now has the body and confidence to play consistently.
Hope BSOS does well but i would be surprised if he got on an AFL list again

Unless somehow there’s another Carringbush file sale coming up in a year or two...Not. Going. To. Happen.
Dealing with Dodo would not be enough to prepare us for what the filth would want for Daicos.

Holy Shit that kid has spunk considering his Dad's standing at the Pies!
