Hasn’t been a major Carlton story for 3 days. Wtf is going on?
Not sure
But Sayers was seen purchasing a pkt of brown paper bags.
That reminds me
I really despise AFL having an ad logo in centre square circle. Much better having a split logo of both teams emblems.

Steady with the 4-peat predictions. A lot can happen in 12 months.

They look like a team with much depth but they were blessed with very few
major injuries this season. You only need to look at the Tiges to know how easy
it is to come back to the pack if several of your play makers are missing.
Yeah kind of like 2019 when they had some injuries and indecision and finished 17th. Two years back.

With Jimmy Tsitas. How that bloke hasn’t played AFL baffles me.

Too much Michael Gibbons about him - in a good and bad way. 179cm midfielder who is a crash and bash ballwinner, but who doesn't really hit the scoreboard and whose disposal is fine (but not good). At AFL level the bigger and quicker bodies mean he's not going to cut it as a center square guy, in the same way you can't play Gibbons in the middle vs Bontempelli/Macrae/Dunkley when we play the Bulldogs, and he doesn't have another role that suits.

Good second tier players, unfortunately the AFL is just a level above where they can have an impact.

I really really felt for SPS, as apparently he had a fair struggle whilst up in the hub in 2020, being isolated and all. I can totally understand his personal decision to get back to WA, with all the border closures restricting movements between states due to covid, and don’t begrudge him whatsoever for seeking a trade.
He gave us 94 games of service and although posters viewed him as “lazy” and “conditional”, I believe it’s just due to his laconic nature.

Unfortunately sublime skill and talent will only get you so far in an elite sport as a lot of it is above the shoulders, and I just don’t think Samo’s head has been right since the beginning of 2020.

That match where he picked Crippa’s pocket against the Dogs was what a player of his calibre can produce when confident, but confidence is a fickle mistress, and you only have to be off your game 5-10% in an elite sports environment to fall behind the pack.

We don’t know what kind of struggles SPS is dealing with internally, but I hope the change of scenery is good for the young fella and he realises his full potential at another club.

Just so long as he stinks it up when he plays us, I’m fine with it, totally fine.

Straight swap for Brander seems the most logical trade scenario IMO. Both are underperforming former first rounders, and both fill a need.

Anyone expecting more for SPS is in lala land.

I think Cerra is holding out to see if Melbcan manufacture a trade for him. Sam Edmund reported similar but I've always had a feeling Cerras preferred destination being the Dees. If that is the case then I don't want him if Melbourne can't do a deal. Rather players who want to be there.

I find this tough as I know I used to think like it often, so I absolutely get it

We can’t think like this though, can we?

If a bloke is at the club and wants to leave then yeah, that kind of sentiment makes sense

Before a decision is made though? Whilst a guy is assessing all his options (one being the reigning premier)? I’m fine with it myself

As long as he gives 100% and falls in loves with our club if he comes, that’ll do me…

Can someone please post the link to the trade thread?

Jarrod Cameron would be a brilliant addition to our forward line and I really hope we go hard at him.

Jarrod Cameron yes please. Unsure of the extent to his injuries and don't know a thing about his commitment/personality, but he would fill a serious need and would make losing Samo a little easier.
