And it turned out to be another Sheedy masterstroke. Well played Sheeds.

In hindsight yes haha “dodged a bullet” as some would say.
but the action itself can’t be ignored.

Don’t think his goal to get hirdy back in as coach will succeed though, unlucky for some of those guys praying for it.

The fact that we've somehow managed to come out of this looking like crazy dumb geniuses can only be a good thing right? Right??
Don't know that we have. If anything it highlights we were launching into signing up a coach without much of a process and how not looking into his background could have bit us right on the arse.

This from Caro Wilson the other day:

“I’m not sure if Blake Caracella will be seriously considered for the job, I’m not sure how he’s come out of the review, I know he’s been interviewed twice, including by Brendan McCartney and Jordan Lewis.”

Re-reading this — have EY interviewed him first and then external football people (McCartney and Lewis) interviewed him the second time?

Completely by accident, so I don’t think he gets the credit

I know I’ve had double digit cans but I’m starting the Hird for president bandwagon right now, he could be the Frank Costa of this club for the next 25 years.

Barham is a jackalope

Ugh. Why do I feel comfortable with that idea?

Because like it or lump it, he has a skill set that combined business and footy acumen and he will always put Essendon first without answering to anyone in the shadows. The saga broke him through minimal fault of his own but it also taught him the value and importance of the right people in the right places.

Sometimes you have to steer into the skid.

I baulk at Hird as coach, but I think I could definitely come around to Hird as prez.

I also baulk at him returning to coach, not because I don’t think he could do it, but the circumstances of last time mean he won’t get a far and equal crack at it and the damage has already been done.

I think he has more to offer further up the chain of command.

Do whatever he wants ???, give me a spell he's entitled to an opinion just like you or me.

I'd rather an honest opinion than the robots that trott out the same dull answers.

He's one of a rare few that actually speaks his mind and sticks up for Essendon and Essendon people.

Sheeds is entitled to an opinion however a board seat comes with expectations and constraints.
