Didn't Cronulla 'own up' and took their medicine

Big Footy folk lost interest you reckon? Completely over it more likely, but you're doing your best to keep it alive, this saga has a LOT more to play out yet, I can't speak for other Carlton supporters and I didn't post on the HTB board, but in my opinion Eseendon got of mightily lightly, disgraceful really
Cronulla took a deal effectively giving them a 4 week ban when their season was already effectively over. You think thats an appropriate penalty for what appeared to be the same offence?

You think I'm keeping this saga alive by discussing it on a forum? LOL

If you think 4 ruined seasons, player and staff bans, draft sanctions, and millions in losses is light I'd love to see what you think is appropriate. Throwing Essendon out of the comp for a season or 2 would not have been any different than what happened last year really. But it sure would have damaged the competition to be missing the 9th game on TV

Do you recognize that Essendon may have been offered a similar deal to Cronulla?

The millions in losses have been what Essendon have spent. That's not on the AFL or anyone else.

The reason I had a go at Carlton earlier is because it seems like a high proportion of Carlton supporters are furious about Essendon's penalties. Diddums

reminds me of the high proportion of essendon supporters that are furious about getting caught, nicked, convicted, suspended... diddums!

possibly, although if the players genuinely didnt believe they were given TB4 why would they agree to a deal like that. My understanding is the evidence against the Cronulla players was presented to be more convincing so a deal was logical

Im far more upset with actions of the club in 2012 than any of the penalties

in reality they were. I cant remember another team losing their coaching staff and players to suspension, and being thrown out of a final series
in reality no other team on the planet has been caught doping like this....ever!

so the harshest penalties were appropriate, and far harsher than Cronullas slap on the wrist
were did i say they were the harshest penalties!?
you're the one saying that!
cronullas slap on the wrist, if your mob had handled things like they had then maybe you would have had a slap on the wrist as well....geez!! :drunk:

and you would have been satisfied if the bombers pleaded guilty took a deal, and got 4 weeks at then end of 2014 off? Sure thing..............

Rather than deal with the tripe, lies, deceit, bullshit flowing from the tulla (and afl) for the last couple of years....YES!
