As unlikely I think it is we’ll win the premiership, what happened more than 2 years ago is irrelevant. A similar post could have been made about Richmond a few years ago.

Difference being we didn't get hyped up to make top 4 or win flags on the back of shitness like your mob does.

An 8th place finish on the back of a bottom of the table draw and 3 recruits had the media blowing their loads over the bombers and declaring them the next big things despite not winning anything for 14 years.

Also honourable mention to 1924 when the red diagonal stripes won the flag and the yellow diagonal stripes were runners up, but there was no grand final.

There you have it folks, Dons V Tigers for the 2019 GF put your houses on it, Dons and Tigers the most evenly matched teams in the AFL. Both teams have had massive additions Shiel (Bombers) and Lynch (Tigers), both have strengthened their teams, 1 & 2 during the H&A season and 1 & 2 in the GF.

So evenly matched that one finished top of the ladder and hammered the other one (who missed the finals) by 70+ points?
