I played under DC for 3 years when he coached Bonbeach in the MPNFL. Was great with the young players, fitness freak and had a great work ethic.
Once his wife told us about one night in early Feb where he was washing the dishes with his team board on the floor. He'd wash a few plates, ponder, kneel down and make a change to the side, wash, ponder, change. This was in early Feb.....
He's a great commuinicator and always gave the boys feedback after each game. Will be a great addition to BHH......

One of my mates knows a few people who are involved in Gippy Power. From all account Carroll is great with them kids and a real communicator. Took a Gippsland power side that should have finished probably 8th at best to a GF (or at least prelim). Got them playing really well in the end.

DC was a great coached for Bonbeach and pushed alot of young players through, giving them games in the 1's whilst the team still be competative, will be a great coach for Box Hill Hawks.

Thats fantastic.
He was one of the sports teachers at my old school, Mazenod College. Legend of a bloke. Real good with the younger ones, and seemed pretty determined.
