Everton looked very poor to me. Interesting thing is they haven't won a match televised in Australia all season.

I think the story of the round is Spurs - suddenly down to 17th and only a point above the relegation zone. Huge embarrassment for a club that tries to pretend they are one of the big guns.

Happy with our win, particularly with the Magpies dropping points. Just need to consolidate on it tonight.

At least he did tackle the piss out of the fake Ronaldo. That should count for some browney points.

I think he was a little peeved when he was turned inside out by the skill of Ronaldo. Rooney just realised **** this guys a better player than I am what should I do???
Oh yeah be the thug that I am and collect another yellow card.

Goals I'm sure you'd love to have the 'Fake Ronaldo' as you so viciously put it down at Highbury. After all Wenger reckons 'He was looking to sign Ronaldo but just didn't have the money.' I think the best way to distinguish the two is Fat Ronaldo and Skinny Ronaldo.

Is it just me or has Christiano already become a huge fan favourite with the Man Utd. failthful?

Fergie will be tempted to play him against Boro but will probably opt out with the short break and all. It seems he may alternate between Ronaldo and Fletcher.

Opposition fans already seem to hate him with a passion. I'd think that GF50O would be outraged if Rooney went and kicked lumps out of one of the Arsenal players.

The United fans seem to love him, but I wonder if it's more due to the "wonderkid" aura that surrounded talents like Best, Whiteside, Giggs, and Beckham than anything that Ronaldo has done on the pitch. He's been a useful player, but he still has plenty to learn.

Both players need to bulk up before they can become regulars. Ronaldo catches the eye more, but I think Fletcher has had the more solid performances when he has played. Both will be in and out of the side for the rest of the season.

I'd keep Ronaldo on the bench for the game against Boro. If they're as hard to break down as they usually are, bring him on some time during the second half.

Fletcher's a couple of years Ronaldo's senior so that can be expected. They really are totally different players though Ronaldo being in the Giggs mould and Fletcher in the Beckham mould.

Obviously barring the use of steriods or being born looking like a mutant (ala Rooney) most 18 year old kids are going to be lightweight upon there arrival into the top division football.

I thought Ronaldo caught the eye against Everton and was probably the best player on the pitch, his performance in the first half was good let down by his delivery but in the second half he was a real menace.

I saw Fletcher against Tottenham the other week Shinners and I thought he had a pretty bad game. Saying that I've seen him a couple of other times and his delivery and distrobution has been immpressive. The only question being how they will fit both of these naturaly right footed players into the same side in the future.

Ronaldo will stay on the wing where his pace will be put to best use.

Fletcher will eventually move into the central midfield where we can use his passing skills - both Keane and Fergie have said that's where they see him in the future. It's ironic that you compare him to Beckham because when Becks broke into the United side, everyone thought that he would end up as one of our central midfielders (which didn't happen). That's probably a good cautionary tale for Fletcher.

I think we all know what would happen if he, or anyone, did that. As far as wishing we had someone like him? Pfft. We've got enough of talented kids at the moment. Cesc, Kolo, Clichy. Why would we need Ronaldo to play on the right side when we've got Freddie Ljungberg?

About f**king time we won a game at home!:) Apparently we got better after Dunn was taken off. He's not been living up to his billing for quite a while now, it's not the sort of thing you want hear about your record signing. And thank god for Forssell, hopefully Chelsea go and buy some more strikers in the transfer window and forget what they have under their noses. 3 points against a struggling Everton at Goodison tonight would be nice but I'd happily take a point. That would leave us with 13 points for survival by the turn of the new year, a performance I'd be most satisfied with.

The Massives must be getting nervous. Just 3 points ahead of the relegation zone. Did anyone see the game and were there any nervous twitches from Keegan?

Not bothered about relegation at this stage, but am wondering where the next 3 points will come from.

It's a funny (not really) run we are on at the moment, a few shocking performances, tied in with a few matches where we dominated but couldn't get the result.

We were pretty unlucky to lose on Friday, apparently Forsell scored with 32% of his shots on goal, I am sure even he didn't know where the winner was going when it rebounded off him.

Oh well, sh1t happens, we'll just have to do the job against the scousers in a few hours.

Uh huh.

We fielded a seconds team as well. Rooney, McF, Jeffers, Dunc, Wright.

Facts help.

I thought Rooney, McFadden and Jeffers were meant to be 'the power of youth' destined to return Everton to their glory days....

And for the record Jeffers, McFadden and Ferguson all started on the bench while Wright wasn't even in the squad.

Facts do help indeed.

Rooney, McFadden, Jeffers, Ferguson are all second tier players for Everton on the basis of this season. Wright would be number 1, but with Martyn playing so well I don't think you lost out there either.

Crucial win for us vs Birmingham, Rooney scoring after 69 minutes.

Our home form seems reasonable enough and that's the key to keeping us out of trouble. Good that we're 11th at the halfway mark instead of 17th ;)
