I find it interesting how poorly rated around the competition Brouch is, despite winning a B&F last year. Truth is, he should be even better in a much deeper Tigers midfield

If the compensation isn’t adequate I’d back Brad in again to get back to 2017/2019 form
Honestly has nothing to do with the compo and it really doesnt worry me is crows get #2 or pick #22
I look at his ability to remain fit and play games with his injuries just having averaged 12 games a year for his career and the cap space he would occupy restricting us to retain or bring in better option.
We also have players like Ross , RCD , Dow that will push for spots in 2021.

Injuries - Cap Space is more my reasons

He would literally be a walkup start to your mids and top 3 mid. You guys have 0 accumulator and extractors....
Richmond is a gun of a side based off of gameplan and work ethic...

But you would never trade first round pick as its same as band 2 compo.

Dion Prestia has been doing this better than Crouch from day dot.

The same Dion Prestia that cost pick 6 and a future 2nd both in drafts not compromised?

Dion was a pick 6 not future 2rd pick.Happy with that played a huge part in our 2 flags.

I am not saying you are not happy with his contribution. Crouch offers the same type of game and if the price is right, he won't cost any draft capital

I agree with you, but I don't think we have the $$$ he is chasing. What's the reason he wants out considering his brother there to.

The Prestia that wasn't a free agent and hadn't recently got caught in possession of cocaine....

Point being? Let's not pretend Richmond are worried about people's off field behaviour. They go for on field talent which I agree with.
My point being what prestia was traded for is irrelevant as he wasn't a free agent, was 2 years younger and didn't have a strike hanging over his head.

Of course we care about off field behaviour, are you serious? Don't confuse not caring with believing in second chances.

Yeah of course but everything in the media is pointing towards there not being as much interest or as much money as the crows/brad had initially hoped.
maybe so. but the point is as a player you know what sort of game he can bring and if that is what a club needs then there is the chance to get that skillset without losing high end draft capital. It ultimately will come down to what clubs want and if they think getting B Crouch makes them a better team then a free hit in terms of draft capital might be appealing

Dion Prestia cost pick #6 plus a 'SWAP' of 2nd rounders the following year so not really 6 but more like #12

Also Dion was vice captain and 2 years younger than Brad at the time but had played 1 game more. Its not the quality of Brad as a player thats the issue its his constant injuries that are the problem. If he had played 150 games by now you would be looking at $750k-$800k contract offer.

Too injury prone and his lasted drug issue doesnt really help

I mean we can match, you know...

Then give us your first and another young prospect. Or we can always keep him, he’s obviously worth more than what will end up being 24-ish
Compare the meetings that the giants had with Cameron to try convince him to stay. They had face to face meetings where they tried to pitch him on a post footy media career. That's a club that wants their player to stay. As far a i can see brad didn't even do a joint press conference with the Crows after the incident. All negotiations at arms length through his manager.

The truth is the crows know they get band 2 if he leaves. They also don't want to scare other clubs off offering him a contract by matching. They've already moved on

So I did make a couple of phone calls and there is now a leading contender for the services of Crouch and it’s the St Kilda Football Club.

“They’re leading the services for Crouch on a really good contract. What I’m hearing is somewhere between $600,000 and $700,000.

“I haven’t seen often a player deal with leaving a football club like Brad has dealt with it … Brad he just wants out for the biggest figure, he doesn’t care where he plays, which is unusual.”

this is backing up what marty has been saying right throughout this thread..the only caveat is that it is the 5 minute fireman and it is his intel
