Both are highly rated inside mids with strong mature bodies that are both tipped to play games next season in the first 22.
How do they compare with each other? Where can I see how their combine tests compare such as beep test etc? In what areas are each stronger than the other?

Crouch. Better disposal and just as good on the inside. Much more versatile too. Both will be guns.

Crouch and Wines are both inside mids. Crouch has a better disposal than Wines, but Wines goes harder at the footy than Crouch. Both have AFL ready bodies, but Crouch has already been on an AFL list for a year, so that will definitely improve his chances of making more of an immediate impact.

Huge call saying Wines goes harder at the ball then Crouch. They both go as hard as an 18 year old can go.

I didn't mean to imply Crouch doesn't go hard, he's not incontinent. Let me try again.
Crouch has a better disposal than Wines, but Wines goes harder at the footy than Crouch. This isn't to say that Wines has poor disposal or that Crouch doesn't go hard at the footy, it's just that one is better than the other.

So where could I get their results foor beep test etc to see how they compare?

Testing, Wines has better endurance, crouch is quicker over 20m. Crouch was the better performed in the 2011 carnival and was an underaged AA. Wines only managed one or two games (by memory). Both will be good players, Crouch probably the better!

Thanks for that. I have heard people liken Crouch to Joel Selwood and maybe a cross between Selwood and Hodge, who would Wines play like?
From what i can gather, Wines might be more a workhorse than impact player?

I rate Crouch higher than O'Meara. Crouch has the skills and pace required to be effective on the outside, but also has the body, physicality and strength to impact on the inside.

Crouch also had a season in the SANFL, which is so far ahead of the NEAFL it isn't funny. O'Meara would have been better off playing in the WAFL in terms of developing his game against seasoned bodies, though having him over on the GC outweighs all of the pros of him playing back in the WAFL.

Wines, not O'Meara.

Not a draft expert, but Selwood is the main comparison I've heard for Wines too. From what I've seen of him he reminds me more of Josh Kennedy. Nothing flashy, but does an excellent job and has a significant impact on the game week-in, week-out.

Fairly high possession, big tackling numbers workhorse though.

Can't wait to see Viney against both of these guys. Should be a spectacle.

Crouch is better than Viney at this stage. Viney and Wines could go either way.

Crouch should be the better player based on hype etc, I agree.

I meant more in the sense that these three are considered three of the toughest 18 year olds to ever play footy. Viney in particular has recieved a ludicrous amount of references to his attack on the ball, many saying he's literally the hardest player that's ever played in the TAC Cup.

I just want to see them go heada to head for the footy.

Also, Viney is 10 cm shorter and 10 kilos lighter than Wines or Crouch and it is hard to see him mixing with the big boys on the inside over the journey.

Having seen him play live, it makes absolutely no difference imo
