We can laugh all we like about it, but one the biggest problems this club has is its serial crucifixion by the football media. Flogs like Healy are just the most visible because their disdain is so obvious. But the media just loves to focus on the big clubs or the fashionable interstaters.
They will talk endlessly about Freo and Port and how magnificent they are. But watch how little play North gets - even though we have beaten both those teams this year. Why the hate?
They doubt every bit of evidence of a North revival and when we were huge, in the nineties, all they would focus on was Carey or the constant search for any evidence of a kangaroo decline. The end of the era couldn't come quick enough.
How did we ever go from being everyone's second favorite team to the club that should have gone to the Gold Coast?

Great question, Gerard, but I'm not sure that Naitanui is actually influencing many games at the minute. He seems to be displaying the same lack of tactical nous that is probably holding Majak back. But they're both tremendous athletes, aren't they?

How I wish that Bon could display this kind of honesty in the face of Healys condescension.
