Unlike Leo Barry You Star when he flew for that mark! That was his all the way.

C'mon Vossy, speak to Braddy again. We want him to stay. If he leaves, we won't be able to give him an appropriate farewell.

Voss is probably who has pushed him away! I thought it was a big mistake putting him up for trade and rightly so bradshaw has reacted with a big FU2

come to the tigers daniel!!!!

I think thats unlikely.

It's believed Bradshaw had agreed to a two-year deal with Brisbane before trade week, but was angered by the Lions' decision to offer him as part of the failed deal involving former Blue Brendan Fevola and Brisbane midfielder Michael Rischitelli.

It's also understood Bradshaw has since had several heated verbal exchanges with Lions coach Michael Voss.

Even Browny used the word "might" as in "..Braddy might be leaving the Club". Not a foregone conclusion yet. Anyone else hear Browny get blindsided by a little caller on Nova yesterday? He, he. Little kids were supposed to ring in and coyly have a conversation with Browny in order to win his autograph. All good until one little fella phones in and instead of stammering, "Hi Browny!", "Yes, I play footy", "You're my favourite player", he comes out with "Browny, what do you think about Bradshaw leaving the Club?!" Raucous, nervous laughter ensued by the Nova team and Browny. Then the boy adds, "Bradshaw was my Mum's favourite player!" Browny answered, "Yes, very sad, very sad. Bradshaw's been a good friend for years and we have to respect his decision and accept that Braddy might be leaving the Club".

I took a lot out of the words "might be leaving". :D There's still hope. ;)

Yeah, would love him to stay, I know that the lifestyle change between Brisbane and Sydney/Melbourne is huge, having been a kid when I made the move from Brisbane to Melbourne, then to Sydney, I found it hard. It's like the kids all spoke a different language in each state. I know he has a big decision, and the extra money is inviting, but packing up the family and moving from where you are settled is never an easy thing. I did think in the back of my head somewhere, that maybe he would settle down, and come back and chat with the club again, we can only hope.

Well we will know for sure this time next week. I believe that clubs must lodge their initial lists by 31 October.

It would be great to see the name "D Bradshaw" still there.

I'm a Lions supporter but honestly they don't deserve to keep him...maybe it's the nature of trades [I'm sure it being done away from the public eye would be a benefit for all] but you would have still thought he was valued enough not to have been included in trade talks.

Against that, Voss has shown proof he is about the club with no skewed loyalty to former teammates and what more could you wish for in a coach. At the end of the day the whole success of a footy club is dependant on that sort of approach. It's a shame people get hurt in the process, but at the end of the day everyone gets shunted in the end for someone else. Will happen to the coach as well at some point.

IMO Bradshaw would be mad to stay in a side with the current forwards in the list. I think Carlton would be a good fit for his playing future. Sydney might be a better fit if you think about a post playing future and perhaps more opportunities to remain in the game after a playing career - given the push that will be on in NSW. Just my thoughts :)

I have heard alot of things regarding Bradshaw's reason's for leaving one of the main ones i understand is that he doesn't want to stay because of the limited time he will spend up forward with Fev in the team.

No doubt, we are sorry to see Bradshaw leave us. I think the Swans are a great fit for him and wish him well.

However, the reality is I would have been very disappointed if the Lions had offered him a 3 year deal...that is just too long for a 31 year old...I would be amazed if he sees his contract out at the Swans especially given that even Leigh Matthews had expressed doubt about his possible longevity during trade week.

In the emotions of it all, lets never forget the Lions reputedly had a 2 year contract on the table before trade week began and "money wasn't the issue". We will probably never know why he didn't sign it at that pre-trade week stage and whether this was a reason for the Lions putting him on the table to get Fevola.

Bradshaw has apparently had a history of prolonged contract negotiations...good luck to him but sometimes these things come back to bite you on the bum.

My view is that there was always a very good chance the Lions would have lost Bradshaw irrespective of the trade week goings on. If he was chasing more than a 2 year contract with us he was always a chance to move on. Can't blame him for that but I get really upset when the inference that follows is that Vossy has shafted him.

In the cold-hard reality of building a team that can challenge for the top 4 and perhaps a premiership window in the time left before Brown, Black and Power start to decline, Vossy has shown the guts and commitment that I admired of him as a Captain. How pi.. weak would it have been for him to sit back and build a list of youngsters at this unique period of compromised drafts... we had already finished 6th this year and were not even going to be getting high picks.

Give me his "no guts, no glory" approach any day. I want us to be competing again for a premiership while Browny is still our captain and not a retiree in a commentators box.

Clearly, he has decided that a number on our list were not up to giving us that "premiership window"

Vossy has my full support to shake the place up and go full tilt at building the team he believes can get us to the top of the tree again, and if that means some attrition along the way, so be it.

Go Lions...
