Brandon Jennings: Rookie of the Year

Has played very well thus far, but he won't be hitting that 3-ball at 40% for the whole season.

Will be interesting to see how he responds when his jumper isn't falling.

IMO it actually comes down to how the rest of the Bucks jumpshots are falling. If we can be solid from 3 we will win enough games for Jennings to be seen as the difference maker and not just a guy putting up nice stats.

He is beasting it right now but there is no way in hell I would trade Tyreke Evans for him. Evans is a 2 way player and is just about impossible to stop.

Its far from a lock but I think come the end of the year Evans will have more chance of taking it out than Jennings.

Jennings really has no one to take the shots away from him. Since Martin has been out with a busted wrist, Evans has been averaging 25 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 5.7 apg. Expect him continue to average close to 20/6/6 for the forseeable future while getting the job done at both ends of the floor.

Jennings was two way enough to take the ball off Evans 8 or 9 times in their preseason matchup. :)

Err, sure, but I think you will find that Evans is better this time around.

For Bucks' sake I hope Jennings doesn't have to guard Evans when they meet in december, otherwise Evans might get charged with a rape!

Jennings is too quick for evans, Evans is too big for Jennings, difference is we have a very good defensive team so Jennings will have a much easier time of it.

If the Bucks make the playoffs, Jennings would be a lock, just like Rose was last year. Could be a close battle with Evans and Flynn if neither of the three teams make it though.

Evans was my favourite player coming out of the draft. Hes put up some nice numbers but not shooting it that well.

Isn't that just quintessential Evans though? Nice numbers, poor efficiency. The way he plays, he'll always be a solid player in the league. What would make him a star SG and a winner is if he can improve his efficiency throughout his career.

Last week I gave my mate the field at $2.10 to which he put $50 down, i sure hope he doesn't slip up...

Doesn't surprise me that he's ripping it, he was a victim of bad press as I see no other way the single season assists and points record holder at the most successful high school team in US history suddenly can be considered a likely flop and slip to tenth (I wouldn't have a problem with him being 10th if there werent so many point guards chosen before him)...

In summary Jennings is the man, that is all

Exceptional work from Jennings but he is taking about a quarter of his shots from beyond the arc, so the when his shooting streak cools (and it will) the numbers will come back to earth.

I think ROTY is usually judged on the totality of a season, not on performances to mid-November.

firmly, FIRMLY agree.

let's not get excited after one MASSIVE game. as i said earlier, lots of games to go.

Hes taking 3.7 3pt per game, and 17.5 shots overall. How is that a bad ratio? Plus hes getting to the line so its not like a majority of his points are courtesy of the 3 ball.

That's right, spread the love my man, good to see you're not influenced by the ill-informed analyst driven mantra: Europe bad. NBA good. therefore Jennings bad. anyone who not go to Europe good.

Jennings was a better high school player than anyone in this draft class, was a better player at 19 than anyone in this draft and rightfully so is now the best rookie in this class.

ROFL @ New York ...

Just when you think of the plight of the Knicks couldn't get any worse :p)

But yes BJ is a super star in the making :)
