Can we get through the draft and free agency first?

They will start deserved favourites but there are some really exciting young teams in the league and a lot of chaos always happening in the NBA.
Which teams out East realistically are going to benefit enough from FA, to overtake the Celtics as favourites?

I don't think this draft will change much.

As fair as you are, no matter who I say you'll just say they're not credible to support your claim, not going to bother to prove anything my teams about to collect banner 18 that's all i care about.
I am not stopping you from celebrating or being over the moon, i think you should celebrate hard. They are bloody hard to win and the Celtics had an incredible years. I am just saying i think almost every single person knew this series was over a week ago.

The draftees won't change much but it may be the catalyst for other moves. This time last year did anyone expect the Celtics to have Jrue and Porzingis?

Our starting 5 is staying together next season it'll be more our bench that'll chop and change.

So fair to say most likely coming back with the same team.

Not many going to challenge us.

I think that's a fair argument, pure guess work but I doubt something similar happens to a team this off-season.

Celtics struck gold, those deals don't come around often. You essentially got two guys who can be the 2 piece on a lot of teams, as role players.

Agreed, haven't been this disinterested in an up-coming season since the pre-Giannis days. Credit the Celtics list management, they're going to dominate for a while to come and the rest just have to play second fiddle.

I totally agree, the starting 5 is a cheat code. They are an incredible team, but a lot of teams have a lot of assets and may be willing to go all in. They will start favourites, they will be bloody hard to beat. I'd just like to know what the rest of the league looks like before making any huge declarations.

I think most of my hesitation comes from the fact the Bucks cannot make any moves to compete, I guess others certainly can though but I'd still back in the Celtics at this point.

Maybe OKC can compete if they trade all their excess for better complementary pieces like the Celtics did with Jrue and Porzingis. They missing a gun shooting guard that can defend to help Shai go godmode in playoffs.

They are the one and they have a zillion first rounders still, but they'd need some luck, still my favourite team to watch but I've loved this season and I'm never unhappy a great team wins.

Bit annoying it wasn't a Denver vs Celtics final though

Because NBA style is so high scoring, teams over value scoring players in trades which is the wrong way to go... its defence that makes the difference between championship teams and pretenders...

Teams getting Lillard, Beal etc have no clue in building championship teams. Those high offence/zero defence players should be going to lottery teams to make bank, whereas contenders should be trying to get pieces to improve their defence/rebounding firstly before offense.
