Lara Bingle chases Brendan Fevola in the courts
  • From: The Daily Telegraph
  • April 09, 2010 6:53PM
LARA Bingle's lawyers will proceed with action against AFL bad boy Brendan Fevola despite yesterday's decision by footy bosses to drop their inquiry. Markson refused to say where that action was up to, only that it was in the hands of Sydney law firm Kennedys and defamation and privacy specialist Patrick George.

And this from Anderson:

"Given the evidence currently available to us and the time elapsed since the alleged behaviour, the AFL has not established that a breach of our rules has occurred. However, we will continue to monitor whether there are legal proceedings arising from this matter and the AFL remains willing to speak with Ms Bingle."

"There's no evidence to establish distribution of the photograph and the circumstances of the taking of the photo are not clear because we couldn't speak with Ms Bingle"

Luke Darcy

Speaking with Brett Ratten on Triple M in the final moments before Thursday's game, I was interested to hear that the Carlton players had decided that sledging Fev would work in his favour, not theirs. The plan was for Michael Jamison to play him tight and tough, but to refrain from all banter. No mention of Bingle or Brownlow or any of the numerous insights into Fev's life that the Carlton boys would have in their arsenal. The prevailing wisdom was that, in all likelihood, Fev would thrive on it.

Re: Brendan Fevola

Max Markson will dust off this defamation hoopla again, one week before Lara's ads for Supre or Homebrand or whatever crap brand thats out there are going to hit the floor.

Milk it again so her modelling launch will stay on front page.

It's shameful how low some people can go to make a living. Might as well hold a "help me with a gold coin" board at a nearby mall.

Re: Brendan Fevola

Looked more relaxed today and had his best game so far. But Vossy might have to tell him to stop trying to be so unselfish because there were one or two low percentage plays there.

Agree.

Gave a couple "gimmies" to Browny but one of then actually required Brown to beat a man to kick the goal....luckily he did.

Also gave a handball over the top to Staker for a goal....which gave me a heart attack:eek:

The alternative was for Fev to have a set shot from 15 out directly in front...which would have been a soda for him.

We get it Fev....you love being a Lion and a team man....you've sold us!

But next time just go back and drill those 15 m set shots....personally I've got more faith in your set shots than your handballs:thumbsu:

Selfless Fev makes space for Brown

JONATHAN Brown is charging towards a Coleman medal, but the Brisbane Lions skipper is attributing his stunning start to the season to the man most likely to take the goalkicking award from him: new teammate Brendan Fevola.

Brown, who has kicked 17 goals in three games - including five majors against Port Adelaide on Saturday - says the former Blue's intensity is working wonders in the Lions' forward line.

While it is fantastic to see him be a big team man, the job of the FF is to be a bit more selfish than that. Never thought I'd be wanting Fev to be more selfish :D

Celebrity agent's surprise run-ins

  • From: Sunday Herald Sun
  • April 11, 2010 12:00AM
Markson was first confronted at a Brisbane restaurant last Sunday by football bad boy Brendan Fevola who wanted to know why the agent was giving him a bad rap in the media.

"He was quite forward, saying, 'Why are you having a go at me in the media?' " Markson said. "I said, 'Well, I'm looking after my client and it's all in the hands of the lawyers'."

Fevola was at the venue to meet Jeanne Pratt, the wife of Carlton's late president Dick Pratt.

Re: Brendan Fevola

Has anyone noticed that Fevola doesn't appear on the AFL's goalscoring chart.

Yes Ive noticed that for a couple of weeks, shame on the AFL.
Below is a quote from the Mark Robinson article titled - AFL on the warpath and hopes to finally rid itself of Fevola – 04Mar10

Still, three years on, it seems the AFL wants Fev's blood, which won't sit at all comfortably with those believing the AFL has a vendetta.

The above is from todays [12Apr10] STATS CENTRAL at http://www.afl.com.au/

Fev has kicked a total of 9 goals after 3 rounds - “That is a strange coincidence. Although, there's an obvious explanation.” – just a quote from the movie V is for Vendetta…. Or is it??

I have also noticed that they haven't put Barry Hall's goals up there, correct?

“That is a strange coincidence. Although, there's an obvious explanation.” – but human error doesn’t start with V… Well spotted LS.

Re: Brendan Fevola

Obviously bias, but quite surprised that Fev's goal on the boundary is not one of the nominations for goal of the week...quite possibly a conspiracy at play.

Re: Brendan Fevola

Absolutely no conflict of interest here...

Star Brisbane recruit Brendan Fevola will offer a rare insight into life as a Lion when he goes one-on-one with Alastair Lynch this Saturday night on Fox Sports.

Fevola will talk about life under Michael Voss, working in a forward line with Jonathan Brown and what goes through his mind when lining up for goal.

The must-see interview will air ahead of Fox Sports live coverage of the round three blockbuster between the Lions and Western Bulldogs at the Gabba.

O.k...my husband was flicking between the Bounce and League Teams, and said he heard them say on LT's that Fevola is having counselling for a gambling addiction....(I was outside having a smoke:eek:)

Is he having me on??...or is this true??

True. Herald Sun website.

Good story if anything. Makes the Lions look like a very nice club. :)
