The simple thing they should have done was asked Brent Harvey what he wanted on the jumper. Nick Riewoldt chose to wear the jumper he debuted in to wear for his 300th match, Brent could have done the same or he could have a design of his own which he would like the club to use. The thing is it will be Brent's big match and he should celebrated it in what he wants.

It's a shame this inevitably short lived fad (a blue base) will be forever associated with this record, in photos at least.

This is a good point but it's interesting to note that the Storm basically abandoned purple and relegated it to a very minor colour in their kit a few years ago, it's only in the last couple that they've brought it back to prominence. It's a shame they turfed the yellow again too.

As a long term member, Storm most certainly has never "abandoned" the purple, and it is a key part of the marketing and supporter merchandise. Always has been.

Every time I see 427 I think it's a knock-off of Bet365 or something. I cringe at the thought that this is where sponsors logo will be featured in the future, just like so many other codes currently have it.

It would be interesting to see the process that went into making this design because it looks like there was next to none.
I wasn't a big fan of his 400th game guernsey but at least it looked like there was some thought put into incorporating "BOOMER" into the stripe.
This is literally the clash jumper with some meaningless silver pinstripes and a big ugly number slapped in the middle. It's not even a good font choice.

IIRC LMac mentioned in a presser that long sleeves "weren't allowed", ie said player would get shit given to him if he did wear them.

Does anyone else feel like this game has been over-hyped? I've seen so much written about it that I now don't want to watch the game. I feel like I'll be watching 120 minutes of Boomer and I might catch some football being played in the background. And I know this is a once-in-a-lifetime thing, which is why it's such a shame I feel this way.

Should be great.
