Haha this thread was started after Brett's first over. I am tipping the person who started it is feeling like a bit of a tool himself now.

yes brett lee carries on like a tool but he is good enough to bowl for his country and has earned his place...sure, the Bollywood music clip was an all-time low off the field but on the field he's a reliable and enthusiastic (if not prolific) contributor
i get sick of hearing calls for throwing more young bowlers in the team at Lee's expense - surely the Boof, Clark and Hussey examples show that Aussie players who have played 10 years of first-class cricket pretty much become instant Test stars when unleashed
Tait needs to get his body strong - he is ahead of Johnson for mine but needs to refine his action to cope with the rigours of the national team
Hilfy is an awesome talent but Tait and Johnson are ahead of him in the pecking order at this stage - Ben will get a few chances in the year ahead and it's up to him to grab them with both hands
so please show some respect for Australian Cricket and accept the fact that they believe Lee is the best option in his position at this point - time will prove you right or wrong but spare us the pages of purile 'we hate Brett' whining in the meantime

Lee is alright, but he needs to stop carrying on like a tool.
And now is when people can start judging him - without the protection of McGrath & Warne, as our number one fast bowler, it's his chance to prove he's capable of it.
