I remember Steve Waugh. When he was out on the balcony and his players were in a tight spot and batting well, he would rather piss down his trouser legs than move seats.

I'm superstitious like that. I don't believe in getting ahead of yourself. Bad karma. ;)

After multiple Sydney-Eagles finals, a few drawn finals and the Carlton game last week, I realise that they never get any easier to sit through.

But there's nothing quite like a well fought finals win.

Agree, it's that combination of emotional rollercoaster but all worth it if you win.

I can't wait, and I don't think this game is the lay down misere that the media seem to think it is-all the best to you guys.

I feel confident we can do this.

I would be more confident if SJ and Menzel were in the side - as our achilles heel is the forward line. Both are X factors in the forward line.

However if Jolly and Reid are out - then it is about even re injuries.

Not sure why I feel confident we will win - as anything can happen. But the boys look more determined than ever - and Scarlett looks just so in charge.

If Chapman, Bundy, Stokes and Varcoe can kick a few goals - that will make a difference.

......and Pods converting from 30 out directly in front.

Mate...it sure was. What worries me is he does it too often for my comfort. One day it will cost us a game...I pray its not this week.

Don't fear - Robert Walls picked up that Pods holds the ball too high. I'm sure he'll fix it up at training this week

For Denzel.

For Moons and Dasher, if we have no changes.

For Shagger, who will be back to his best next year.

For Lonners and Pods and all they've overcome to get to this point.

For Bundy, Mitch and Westy, the first of many in their careers.

For Stevie J.

For Max Rooke and Matty Egan, who should still be out there.

For Cameron Ling, our inspirational skipper, who has silenced the doubters this year.

For Chris Scott, who's exceeded our wildest expectations in his first year.

For Blake Caracella, Nigel Lappin, James Rahilly and Dale Amos.

For Colin Carter, Frank Costa and their boards.

For Brian Cook and Neil Balme.

For Ken Hinkley, Brenton Sanderson and Brendan McCartney and the influence they have had on the 2011 team.

For Mitch Brown, Nathan Vardy, Steven Motlop, Josh Cowan, Cam Guthrie, Dawson Simpson, Taylor Hunt, Tom Gillies and Simon Hogan. You guys are part of the senior squad and everything they have achieved in 2011. Your time will come.

For Mark Blake and Marcus Drum.

For Mark Thompson and Gary Ablett, life members of our club. We didn't want them to go, but it seems everyone is better for the change.

For Jimmy Bartel, Andrew Mackie, Brad Ottens, James Kelly, Joel Corey, Joel Selwood, Matty Scarlett, Paul Chapman, David Wojcinski and Corey Enright, gunning for their third premiership with the GFC. For Travis Varcoe, Harry Taylor, Josh Hunt, Tom Hawkins and Mathew Stokes, going for their second.

For those who always believed and for those who have been left with no choice but to believe by this great team (myself included).

For Bobby Davis.

Go get 'em, Cats.

Great stuff :thumbsu:

2011 has been quite the journey..

I still remember the disappointment over last year, Gazza and Bomber jumping ship, Rooke pulling the pin; not to mention the damning analyses of the team, the questions over player's endeavor, fitness, capacity to perform to previous standards, the excitement over the younger fellas and the uncertainty that came with a new coach and a fresh message..

I had my doubts and despite my reservations and being told on here that I was "kidding myself", I still believed we could give it a shake this year.. I've taken nothing for granted this year and will continue to do so this week!

GO CATS

Inspirational post MC....:thumbsu:

And maybe add......... for those who never doubted us...the true supporters.....those that rally when we are down....those who never kick our boys when things aren't going the best for them....those who hold the faith.

People like you MC. Great work mate!
