Anyone heard any more about the finalizing of the coaching set up? When an announcement is likely?
earlier in the week, i think it was Noble said that Chris Fagan would be finalizing his coaching structure in the coming days, so i'm expecting something today. lets hope they are waiting for Montgomery and Tapping to get up here so they can sit either side of Fagan at the presser.:)

I read that when Tapping was announced, so i was hoping for today as well. I am becoming an impatient old man i guess.

Steele Tallon tweeted a few days ago that the coaching panel would be announced next week.

Hopefully we hear some good news this week regarding the final appointment(s) of the coaching team.

Just in time for the boys to get stuck into a solid pre-season :thumbsu:

With the coaching staff expected to be finalised in the next few days I wonder if there will be any final additions? Perhaps a senior assistant coach? How many spare spots do we have left? Black, Woewodin and Gary O'Donnell all left at the end of this season and we've added Tapping and Adcock meaning we should have 1 more opening? Brett Montgomery still in the mix?

I believe he's been/was chased by Richmond. But yes, very much still in the mix...

i hope he is, IIRC Noble said Fagan would be finalizing the coaching setup this week and the way i interpreted that was there is another appointment or 2 to go.

Yeah he was supposedly a target of the Tigers way back before they'd even added anyone. They've since added Caracalla, Leppa and Xavier Clarke(All ex Lions funnily enough) so not sure if he's still on their radar or not. I guess we will find out in the next few days who we end up with.

Mont would already be in another club by now surely? I think he will be at the Lions next year. He's gone completely off radar.
There were rumblings in the media that he could end up at the Lions as a senior assistant even if he didn't get the head coach gig back when we were interviewing him, Fagan and Barker and as you have said he's sort of gone off radar a little bit and no clubs have been linked to him in the past month or so. I guess he could still end up at another club on the hunt for assistant coaches(I believe Port and Collingwood are still on the lookout) but I wouldn't be surprised if he was already signed, sealed and delivered to the Gabba.

Does anyone know if we've employed a full time sports psychologist yet? With the AFL declaring their willingness to help fund any necessary appointments they agreed with I'd have thought that would be a high priority.
would love to get this bloke back on board.

Steve Grace & Ben Hart left Pie-land...Grace is tipped to take Montgomery's position at the Dogs..Hart has not surfaced or been mentioned in despatches. And do we know is Barker staying at the Blues?

Get the guy who has helped Mitch Robbo out since he came to Brisbane - Robbo has taken major steps forward in performance and attitude and would be impressive to get that kind of improvement out of all the team. .
