Confession time: I actually enjoy Peppa Pig. Even if my son gets bored with it and crawls away to play with toys I keep watching.

It may be permanent sleep deprivation but I swear there is a lot of hidden social commentary in that show... gender politics, critiques of capitalism etc.

Emma from the Wiggles goes alright too. Highly watchable.

Ben and Holly and Peppa are classics. From the same creative team I guess so it makes sense.

Looks like we have a clear focus in bringing in guys who are good at developing players. Fagan, Littlejohn, Henriksen and now Dale Tapping have all been added to our coaching/development group and they're all known for their skills in developing players. Perfect for our young group and hopefully they can work at getting the best out of the talented youngsters on our list.

Always a good sign when the oppo board is melting down at a coaching loss.

Same thing with Fagan as well.

Looks like we are building a killer coaching setup for next year and the future. Heavy focus on player development. Only good things to come from that mindset.

Future looks solid.

Without having any real insight into the confirmed positions (including Noble) I am really happy with that there is some real change within the coaching ranks of our club. As others have noted there is a big focus on acquiring people with the ability to develop players. It'll be s slow burn before we see the real impact of these changes but it's pleasing to see that we are not being idle and trying to make the appropriate changes to turn the club around on the field.

First, he coached Old Brighton in the VAFA from 1997 until 2001, winning the flag in his first season and finishing as runner up in 2000.

He then coached Old Scotch in the VAFA from 2002 until 2005, taking them to preliminary finals in 2002 and 2003.

After a year out of the coaching system, Tapping became an assistant coach with the Western Jets Under 18 team in the TAC Cup in 2007.

Tapping joined the Sandringham Dragons in 2009. He was the TAC Cup Coach of the Year in 2010, and capped off his stint at Trevor Barker Beach Oval with the 2011 TAC Cup premiership.

Then took over the Collingwood VFL side leading them to four straight finals appearances and won coach of the year this year.

Sounds like he'll be a fantastic addition.

Consensus is, and has been for the better part of 12 months that Tapping should have been promoted to the senior coaching lineup last year. Good communicator, good player developer, good coach all round. No confirmation yet from the club that he's gone, but Paul Amy (who tweeted the news yesterday) is usually on point with any Magpies news.

It's very irritating that a rookie senior coach in Fagan can identify a talent in Tapping but our own club can't see what's right under their noses. Good luck to Dale, you guys got a good one here.
