I thought the effort of Craig Bolton at CHB on Saint Nick was saintsational last night. He has really become the quiet achiever. Can play tall or small, very quick. A very underrated player IMHO.

Totally agree. Oh how we could have used Bolton towards the end of this year - well all year in fact....

One of the reasons for Brisbane's success has been brilliant trading, drafting and list management but this is one we got wrong. The other was perhaps Brett Voss. Great to see Bolton doing so well though and completely pulled St Nick's pants down.

totally agree as well. he is the only bloke i know that is big and tall enough to play kp but also quick enough to play on a judd. very underated.

To be fair to the Lions, they knew that Craig Bolton was a quality player but that they couldn't guarantee him game time (after being Emergency for the 2001 and 2002 GFs) and Leigh Matthews did not want to stand in his way of building his own career.

While 3 years on the Lions would probably love to have him on their list, the fact is they did a very admirable thing by admitting to him that he was a fringe player at the time and giving him their blessing to look for a club where he would be a regular player and build a career.

And full credit to Craig Bolton because he has definitely done that. A quiet achiever who rarely if ever has a bad game.
