I suppose when you think about it it made a lot of sense.
A pretty decent final ep.
I enjoyed the final season mostly, and wish there had been more episodes this season. But the NBC years, good as they were, weren't as top quality as the Fox years.
So many satisfying cameos and references crammed in.

I thought it was a great finale. A nice way to end the show - we knew it was on its last legs but they pulled out all the stops for the last episode.
Thanks for all the great memories, now to constantly repeat it on Netflix.

I quite enjoyed the finale.
The last 2 episodes (I'm counting the finale as 1 episode) were the best of the season imo and a great end to a great show. And while the season as a whole wasn't as good as typical B99, it was hardly bad.

Oh man this sucks. I loved him from Homicide Life on the Street and B99 proved his versatility. Also recently watched the movie Glory and he was very good in that too. RIP

Brooklyn 99 was and still is my comfort show and has got me through so many tough times and Captain Ray Holt was by far my favourite character.

Such a young age really. I never liked BNN when it first aired but later I watched it on Netflix and fell in love with it. Captain Holt was a terrific characater played beautifully by Andre Braugher. RIP.

Braugher was great in everything I saw him in, and was the best part of B99.

For Holt, being gay was an integral part of who he was, but the show did not get excessively preachy about it or over-emphasise his sexual orientation for comedic effect. He was the straight man (ironically) whose comedy was from him being by-the-book with rules and grammar, his intellectualism being lost on most others, and being unable to grasp popular culture.
Watching B99 will be forever different but I am also forever grateful that is happened.
