Did he have the best season? I would say noMeh. It was always going to be a case of best of the rest once daicos went down. We all know daicos had the best season and would have won it if he didn't get injured.

No you didn’t your just a salty lions hating goose.I watched him closely this year and I thought he had an average year.
I think he's embarrassed. Even he knows they got it wrong.
Bang on. I don't get why people get so worked up when this is the literal system we have used for decades. When you're umpiring junk stats don't get you noticed, but make some great clearances or at up a few goals and you get noticed. Hate doing the votes, and it's really a five minute discussion that no one cares about after the game.
But then why are you so upset when he got votes despite not getting lots of kicks??? Surely that means he did well? When Brisbane win, the umps go aahh, who played well, oh Neale got a lot of kicks, better give him 3 to cover ourselves.
The same people he bashes when Martin and Taranto don’t make it.
He wasn't rated in the top 5 midfielders by the All Australian selectors even though he led the league in clearancesand possessions.
Any selection committee with Kane Cornes on it should have an asterix.
Someone should tell P Dangerfield he should handball more.
A lot of kicks doesn't mean best player on tge ground. But then why are you so upset when he got votes despite not getting lots of kicks??? Surely that means he did well?
What were neales odds pre count?
The coaches thought he was top 5 in the league going off the AFLCA votes.I watched him closely this year and I thought he had an average year.
Lock him in for next yearGlad that he's gotten another one, hope he wins the flag this weekend too.
I would have taken anyone over Daicos though, the media has already made him so ******* unlikeable that a Brownlow would have taken it into overdrive.
Jesus Christ you're probably right.Lock him in for next year
Western Bulldogs have never made top 4 in Bontempelli’s career. That sums it up.I would be laughing if it wasn’t for the fact I have been miserable watching my team disappoint me in every aspect for 24 months, then I see Bont lose to a guy that didn’t even make the All-Australian team.
Who was hoping that another player would hold onto the lead?Oh but how wrong you could be. The one vote for Gulden and no votes for Petracca who turned the game needs to be investigated. Almost like they were hoping another player would hold onto a lead.
Bold section sums it up.All the silly stuff aside:
Don’t think Neale had a stellar year, would have had Bontempelli, Butters and Petracca all ahead of him.
But he’s not some C-Grade shittruck, good luck to him.
A little surprised Dunkley really didn’t eat into his tally at all, thought Dunkley had an outstanding year.
Brownlow’s gunna Brownlow, end of the day.
Dunkley had a real good year but seems to have been pigion holed as a defensive stopper mid so zero chance the umps even talked about him. He didn’t even make the All Aus squad. All the silly stuff aside:

Make finals, win more. Get top 4 maybe.Bont is ripped off yet again
