Re: Brownlow Medal part 2

According to you, he will only poll 16.

What is with people presenting opinion as facts? Opinions differ from person to person, doesn't mean they are wrong.

Many people, myself include, believe Selwood a good shot at winning it all. Taking into account certain factors and he looks good compared to some other big names

I can see him possibly pipping judd, im just syaing i dont think selwood can win the brownlow or even get within 8 votes of winning it, he has stiff competition and i believe peoples thoughts are based on how well he polled last year, im not saying your wrong, but maybe you are too keen on BROWNLOW KING and his past history, to not have swan and ablett in yout top 2-4 is beyond ridiculous and ablett is not 1.70 to lead after round 11 for no reason. I just find it hard to believe some of you guys have ablett so low.

Re: Brownlow Medal part 2

Just quickly went through the St.Kilda games looking at likely vote getters. Amazingly had Riewoldt having the ability to poll in 18 games. From rounds 2-13 I could see him polling. Had him 15 votes min, 33 votes max. Forwards arent great vote getters but its hard to ignore the numbers his put up. Dal Santo I think could poll in 14 games, Hayes + Montagna+Goddard 13. Goddard wont come top 3 for the trifecta. Not a chance.

After liking Hayes and Dal i'm second guessing and think Volt might be a massive chance. Any reason why he cant win St.Kilda's?

Oh and Riewoldt isnt the worst vote getter is he???

edit: 1,14,18 and 19 I see the games where Volt WILL not poll. Anyone else think there are other games?

Rounds 1,2,9,11,13,14,18,19.

This is based on looking at the game and players around, rnd 2 16 touches 2 goals not good enough for any votes, rnd 9 j.watson and hayes will take 3,2 and many others before roo...it goes on but im just sayin this for your sake

It was round 8. They played Brisbane in round 9, a game where Riewoldt played extremely well as Brisbane had no key defenders, 2-3 votes.

Agree. Could easily poll in Rd.9 though. Could also poll a combined vote in rd 2/11/13.

sorry, round 9 vs brisbane he had 11 dispoals 8 marks and kicked 4.2

Montagna best on with 33 disposals and kicked 2.2
sherman, adcock, hayes, goddard, ball and macdonald for the 2 and 1

i watched this game and the lions looked likely for victory until lat in the last qtr...hence why i have roo not polling in this game

Personally wouldnt be seconnding guessing your intial choice, Cant see Voldt beating any of Hayes/Dal/Montagna.
FWIW i have them as:
1. Hayes
2. Montagna
3. DalSanto
4.Voldt
5. Goddard

As for betting i have a bit of cash on Hayes and Dalsnto for St.Kildas most votes, would of went Montagna over DalSanto but i got Dal at v good odds.

Re: Brownlow Medal part 2

The bets i posted?
They represent a multi,
for example i have Vince, Black and J Selwood getting most team votes for their respective clubs, If all 3 of them get the most team votes i get $22.50 per $1 i put on.

Re: Brownlow Medal part 2

Winderlich seems like a decent bet for fun multis @ $26, Champion Data have him the highest vote getter at Essendon, I know that means little to nothing but still worth throwing it into an extravagant multi IMO.

he's at $51 on the TAB... definately not the worst roughie, worth looking at for an outlandish multi for entertainment purposes. I wouldnt say he's no chance, he'd have to have plenty go his way to get there though...

I got him on Centrebet @ $61 in a multi with Vince and Black paying $250.
Only rate it a very minute chance to get up but worth putting a couple bucks on.

got you $44 dollars or whatever it was...thats amazing value

Re: Brownlow Medal part 2

i know didak is unliked by the umpires and alot of other people, but would you guys say he's a shoe in for this group. I just cannot see any of them beating them, even though johnson has had a terrific season (he didnt even poll a vote last year!)

DIDAK, A (COLL) 1.67
O'KEEFE, R (SYD) 6.50
JOHNSON, B (WBD) 8.50
PETRIE, D (NM) 8.50
TIPPETT, K (ADEL) 8.50

Re: Brownlow Medal part 2

I was doing a search in Google for 'Phantom Brownlow' which are usually pretty good guides if done right, and i come across this site...

http://www.freebetinfo.com.au/phantom-brownlow-medal

They have a nice little betting preview of all the chances and a round by round analysis of the brownlow. They have Ablett to win, but looks like there is definitely value on guys like Goddard, Judd and Dal Santo.
