Looks like no front GA section this time?

All shows on FTC site have GA standing as the most expensive tickets. There will be a pit, Bruce thrives off it.

More than welcome to stay here again if you're coming to Melbourne!

Thanks Cruyffy

I am tempted to to do a mini tour again but I can't afford to buy as many shows as earlier this year at the moment. If the same thing happens as earlier this year where they add ticketes here and there then i might buy them to more shows. plus i expect more shows to be scheduled.

You are welcome to stay at my place if you make it to Adelaide.

Don't know what to do!!! ARRRRRGGGGGHHHH.

I know exactly how you feel. I definitely want a pit ticket this time around, but I'm sure my son will want to come along as well, as he's now a dead set convert. There's no way he can go in the pit and I can't really go to another show on the 16th, as it is his 10th birthday on that day and he'll have a party planned back here at home.

Might do one in Melbourne and sneak over to Adelaide if I can swing it with work and the wife.......maybe Sydney as well.

Additional special guest at the Melbourne and Hunter Valley shows will be Australia’s favorite rock & roll soul man Dan Sultan. Continuing the musical tour de force that they established on this year’s Wrecking Ball tour, Jimmy Barnes will be special guest for the Auckland Mt Smart Show.

Looks like Bruce's site got the back up artists wrong. The FTC info part of each show says

WITH SOME VERY SPECIAL GUESTS:
HUNTERS & COLLECTORS REFORM FOR SPECIAL MELBOURNE ONLY SHOW
JIMMY BARNES - AUCKLAND ONLY
DAN SULTAN – MELBOURNE & HUNTER VALLEY ONLY

and the email I just got said the Hunter Valley show has the Ruebens as well as Dan Sultan.

So is Mark Seymour coming back to head up Hunters?? Gudinski loves the Hunters and Barnsey.

I remember Mark Seymour in 1985 or 1986 saying something like he would never be in a band that named the singer first like Bruce Springsteen does with the E street Band!! good to see Mark grew up. I am a big fan of the Hunters so will have to try and get to Melbourne.

Will definitely keep that in mind! Might have a mate too lol (possibly).

Talk to the wife. He can do it the week later.

My daughters birthday then (23rd).

I'm gonna try so hard to do the responsible thing by my family....but I'm sure that ticket drops subsequent to the initial sale will more than likely lead to my downfall and have me travelling all over the country following the great man.

paddy my brother in law in 1st Brisbane show went with is sister and her 9 year old son. They were in the pit. I was about 3 deep in front of Tom and they were about 5 rows behind me because they got there a couple of hours after I did.

He was pretty good for the first hour or 90 minutes. Then he needed to go to the loo and got tired. My brother inlaw took him to the back of the pit where there was room and he could sit on floor next to the back stage/walkway area and lean against the rail there. The benefit was that when Bruce did his lap the second or third time around the BEC he was in the right place for Bruce to shake his hand. He got a massive kick out of that. You might want to think about doing something like that.

To be honest, I'd be happy enough with seats like we had a RLA3, right by the stage and he was able to lean out and get a high 5 when doing the lap for Tenth. He's a fit little bugger and would have no trouble staying awake in the pit, he's just a runt like his Dad and he wouldn't be able to see much. We'll see what we get next week anyway. He might want to spend his birthday at Bruce and I can end up with the best of both worlds. Cheers

I am in no position to really comment as I don't have children. And obvisouly missing your child's birthday is a big thing so I understand where you're coming from.

Talking to a mate (Victor, Asian guy who was at every show), we're most likely gonna mini bus it around part of the country with others :D

Do what you will enjoy more.

That's the problem - I don't know! Haha. I had the whole of 2014 pencilled in backpacking through NZ/USA/Canada. Planned on leaving NZ for the US in early-Feb. AND NOW BRUCE SHOWS UP

Either just bite the bullet and come back and blow a huge hole in my travel savings seeing multiple shows; stay in NZ longer and just see the Auckland show (leaning towards this); or head off to the US anyway and hope Bruce catches up with me later in the year over there.

I love how we all went so hard last time assuming it would be our only ever chance, and 11 months later it's happening all over again! At least we're getting more notice this time (didn't get the news until Dec last year for the March shows).

I'm 22 and what is this?

Go nuts. Go ******* bonkers. It was awesome this year, just do it. Go to everything you possibly can.

The world will not go anywhere when you're older. You're only young. You never know when you can see Bruce again.

The USA and Canada will still be there when you're 25. Bruce touring, well, that may not be.

Ok tips for successful buying tickets based on experience late last year earlier this year. Add to them as you feel needs be.

1. get to a computer with a coxial cable internet connection rather than wifi.
2. have two or more computers screens open at once
3. use m.ticketek.com.au the mobile phone site you might get thru quicker
4. don't panic. if you don't get a pit ticket but get offered section D don't buy it
5. do a dummy purchase run. NZ opens 11am EST. Melbourne 12 EST. If you live elsewhere see how clogged the system is before your city comes up, just don't do the last step to purchase.
6. the general public sales might have the area you want
"Frontier Members pre-sales are an opportunity to purchase tickets ahead of the general public. It is not a preferential seating service. Tickets of equal quality to those offered in the pre-sale will be available in the general on-sale."

7. don't panic more shows will be released
8. they release extra tickets after they say they are sold out. Keep checking until February.
9. you will be able to buy tickets close to the show for close to face value. don't get sucked into E bay bullshit people selling tickets for $400 premiums. I met 3 different people who bought tickets for face value + or - $20-> $50 on day of show

I want to hear more about this! Starting in Perth?

It's a possibility. Nah, Melbourne > Syd > Bris. Need minimum of 20 people, and deposit has to be up front or it's unfair on Victor.

Would be ****ing epic though. Imagine a bus filled with 20 Springsteen fans tearing down a highway with Born To Run blaring going straight into Badlands. Holy shit.

Already did that earlier in the year and just have a little bit too much on early next year to enjoy myself as much as last time. We're off to Europe for a month in April and haven't really started saving too much that as yet. I'll max out the credit card and see where that gets me.

Last time, I kept buying better tickets for each of the shows with each ticket drop and I was stressing myself out, spending half my time selling the old tickets on Gumtree and the like.....that's what i mean about being responsible this time around. I had about $3.5k of tickets in my possession at one stage, spread across all 5 shows and all on credit card. I got rid of them easily enough, but my dear wife was a tad pissed off with me for a while.

The great thing about a Bruce crowd is that fans make an effort for the kids. Kids in the pit has become a tradition. They will give him a bit of space and big blokes will let you get in front of them.

Sounds great! Bloody jealous. I might run it past the wife and see if she'll give me a leave pass..:)

Ahh yes, travel plans. *****ed me last time and doing it again. Thankfully I don't have a family or a credit card, haha :thumbsu:

Definetely take RussellEbertHandball 's advice and don't panic. Ticket drops and more shows mean there's plenty for anyone who wants a pit ticket.

I actually didn't even get a ticket in the pre-sale last time and just picked them up as time went along. Ended up with shit hot seats for every Victorian gig and I'll probably just do the same again. From memory, you were still able to pick up GA tickets for every RLA show on the day of each gig.
